Deepz, I think they awaited till the entire cast could be at one place.. Remember, when the actual 1000 episodes aired, Dev and the kids were shooting in Bhopal and the rest in Mumbai. Perhaps they thought it would be better if the entire cast came back and settled in before actually having a party
