Finally!!
here is the excerpt for the show:

Doli Armaanon Ki
Matters come to a head between the married couple Samrat (Mohit Malik) and Urmi (Neha Marda) and she finally takes a stand against him. During the celebrations Urmi hears about a woman whose husband is cheating on her. Enraged she wants to confront the cheating husband and support the woman, but Samrat, who is controlling her, doesn't like it. When Urmi argues he slaps her! Urmi then decides to pack her bags and leave the house, thus rebelling against her chauvinistic husband for the first time.

Good on Urmi for standing up for herself and showing Samraat that it's not he who has an iron fisted grip with complete control of everything in their marital relationship, and that she is not a piece of chattel that he owns to just keep or throw at his whim!

Ok, in advance please forgive the length of my post below. This really touched a nerve with me personally and so I felt compelled to write what I have personally witnessed, relevant to the storyline of this show.

Now... For those of you out there who think that this type of scenario/story is just a fictional exaggeration, please let me tell you that is not the case at all, trust me, even in this day and age it is! I've seen it happening myself (literally with my own two eyes, right in front of me), with people who are very, very, close to me. The husband in this case within the first two months of being married, forced his wife to cut off relations with all her friends she had prior to being married. These were people whom she had known for 15+ years, and she had to just stop all communication immediately, cold turkey, he didn't even allow her to write or call one last time, to say bye or give them some kind of explanation as to why she was suddenly disappearing out of their lives for ever. To this day she still feels the pain of having been a horrible friend to those people whom she had spent her younger days with, and who were there for her unconditionally through thick & thin.

Now as if that wasn't enough, he started to restrict her contact with her own family. Her mother and father, being well off, and as she was their only child, used to come visit her one time a year for anywhere between 4 -6 weeks. They didn't burden their son-in-law with any of their expenses, or expected that he take them out to places for sight seeing. Their only wish was to be with their child and spend their time being with her, and then after she had her child, with their grandchild, just content in her house. But her husband couldn't even allow her that time with her parents. His belief is that once a girl marries, she should keep her focus only on her husband, her parents and any previous relationships have no more importance in her life and she should just forget about them and concentrate on her husband totally instead.

So, you see this story is not that far from reality in truth. Including the arrogant outbursts that the protagonist inflicts on his wife and the rest of his family. The husband in my case above has an equally volatile temper and in fact frequently uses curse words like "You f*c***g B****h", when shouting at his wife. So those of you out there who can simply dismiss this as some melodramatic soap opera story, please, just pause once and think about those people who believe they have no choice but to submit to such egotistical, arrogant, megalomaniacal spouses.

Thanks folks for taking the time to read this!

Well, she is only beginning to try to stand up for herself now. She gets a lot of moral support from her family but still, her husband has ground her self esteem down to virtually nothing, convincing her that he's the only one who would ever give her the time of day, and if she leaves him, she'll just end up alone and love-less for the rest of her life. Standing up to him is perhaps the hardest thing she has and ever will do in her life. So far, he's manipulated every major issue in their lives to his will. He's got the gift of the gab, that man does, somehow he's able to make an outcome in any issue they may have going on between them happen in such a way, that when all is done and dusted, it's as if she is the one who wants that outcome in the first place!

Such people need a special place reserved in hell for them I believe. Whether or not they are ever going to reach that place though, I can't say as they'd probably be able to talk themselves into heaven by some way or the other! They are still the basest of people no matter where they end up anyway!
