Chapter 1
"Taani beta... rey aata hi hoga... uske mann pasand khaaney ready hi?"
Said an overwhelmed Gayatri to her daughter in law.
"Ji maa. Sab tayyaar hai..."
Said taani
Rey is coming back from london after 2 years, he left india after a week of his marriage leaving a tearful taani behind. He was so deeply hurt as he had to leave all of a sudden for his buisiness.
Taani used to talk to him after he left to london almost for 6 months and later she used to not get a proper response from him. Either he was busy in a meeting or he must be sleeping.
Taani missed her husband like hell. She herself knows how much she suffered that lonliness. She is not understanding how to face him. She should be happy that he is coming for this holi or she should cry that he dint bother to interact with her for 18 months or 1 &1/2 year.
"Taani beta!!! Rey aagaya!"
She dint move from her place... a tear trickled down from her eye and she got busy in kitchen.
Rey was received at the entrance by his parents. He touched their feet and took their blessings.
Taani did not come out of the kitchen.
Rey got freshened up and came to the dining table. Everyone started to feed him his favourite food.
" beta tumhare liye tumhaare mann pasand khaana bana hai... ye le beta... kha"
"Maa... bohot din huye aapke haath ka khaana khaakey... (after having a bite of his favourite aaloo paratha), maa... i loved it!"
"Mujhe mat bolo... maine nahi banaya!"
Rey turned his head and an elegant lady was beside him with a cute baby bump..
"Sharon bhabhi???"
Sharon nodded her head in a no...
"Taani ne banaya!!!" Said his mom
"But taani hai kahan?" Said he
"Kitchen me hi hai maa... kal holi hai na... mithayi bana rahi hai... me bulaake laati hu" said sharon...
"Nahi bhabhi... aap baithiye... me jaata hu"
Rey slowly entered the kitchen... he saw taani was busy in making the sweets.
Her hands were full of ghee and sugar... sticky and irritating.
Rey was admiring her from the door of the kitchen... gosh!!! How guilty he is now...
"Why i feel like crying hard?" He thought to himself.
Meanwhile her hair was irritating her face nd her shoulders sticking to her sweat.
Rey went behind her and touched her arms making her shiver. He had same effect on her after two years.
She was on the verge of crying, "rey..."
She whispered, she wanted to push him away but her heart is craving for his warmth so badly. She was in a helpless situation. Rey took her to the sink turned her around hugging her from behind and took her palms in his washing them with the liquid soap there.
Tears rolled out from her eyes, rey noticed them and thought its the time to repay.
He turned her after they washed their hands. He wiped her tears and he pulled her towards him. Taani dropped her head on his chest, His fingers were in her hair. She could nt control herself and silently started crying on his chest.
Rey cupped her face in his palms and kissed her forehead healing all the pain he had given her from past 2 years.
She clutched his shirt and started to kneel down bringing him also down. She was in his croodle within no time.
Soon within a swift in his arms. Both were tired crying and they dozed off in each other's embrace finally on their bed.
