It's just a few days since his last show wrapped up, but Amit Varma's itching to be back on the small screen

His show Kittu Sab Jaanti Hai got over a few days ago, but Amit Varma, the show's lead actor, doesn't believe in taking it easy... atleast for too long! "The shooting for Kittu... got over 20 days back and I did unwind by going to Lonavla for a few days," he says and adds, "I don't believe in concept of taking long breaks. It should be just
enough to get out of the character you had been portraying for so long, other than that, a few days are enough."
Now that Kittu's over, Amit says that he does miss it a lot. "I'll miss the sets and working with a group of people who had become almost family. I know there will be more shows and I'll make another family but I'll miss Kittu..." he says with a smile. Even these few days of taking a break, Amit's kept himself busy by doing episodics for Aahat and Mano Ya Na Mano. "It was a different experience to show emotions that I haven't done in my other shows," he says. And since both the shows were of the 'spooky' genre, did he get spooked? "Not really," he laughs, "I do believe in spirits. In fact, there was one episode of Hotel Kingston where I was shown to be in a haunted room. That was a fun episode to shoot," he relates. At the moment, the actor is in talk with production houses and has been receiving, in his own words, 'tremendous amount of offers' but is taking it each step at a time. "I wouldn't mind acting in a
saas-bahu
show, but my character has to be interesting. I would only like to play the protagonist. I don't want to stand behind waiting for my track to appear," he says firmly.
