I've never been a fan of indian telly soaps. Like really? Ghar ki aurte hai ya shatranj ki khiladi. Bas chal pe chal -_- . I may follow a serial for someday then I get bored.
Only two of them had been able to make me crazyyy about them. So crazy that I dont miss an episode.
First, being Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. That father-daughter bond was a gift to watch <3
"Chawanni aur uska spiderman" haha!
Second, Sadda haq!! Dude this show!
1. Its written by Durjoy Dutta, author of best-selling novels. So you sure expect great things.
2. The characters are real. Sanyukta aint a girl who thinks its her duty to think from everyone's P.O.V. She has seen MCPs in her bro and father all her childhood, so reacts accordingly. Randhir, the hero, aint a chocolate boy with tailor made cheesy lines. Instead, he hates women and seriously is making Sanyu's life hell. Those are what you call real character, real people, the types of people you see in daily life.
3. Each and every character has a past/story that justifies their thinking and personality, so you cant judge them. Sanyu comes from a narrow minded society. Randhir's mom never gave him time when he was a kid. Virdhan sir has lost his love (Niharika). Parth has anger issues which he channelises with Tai-chi. Jignesh is bipolar. Vidushi comes from a poor family etc etc
4. Sandhir fights ain't like "let me hurt you, then I'll realise it and then I'll fall in love with you", like in other serials. They literally make each other's life hell and dont regret it. They dont even regret their hate kiss.. Smh!
5. Unlike other serials, all the boys don't fall in love with the leading lady. Like seriously, where does that happen? No matter how beautiful a girl is, all the boys dont drool over her in real life, unlike in daily soaps.
And there are many other points which I'm not pointing out because I'm tired of typing :P
