Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor desperately wants to work with 'Highway' girl Alia Bhatt.
Bowled over with Alia's performance in much acclaimed 'Highway', actor Ranbir Kapoor now wants to work with the actress in a film.
He even asked his close friend Imtiaz Ali to cast the 'Student Of The Year' actress opposite him in a film.
According to a close source, Ranbir once recommended Alia's name to Imtiaz, who directed Highway, for his next project 'Window Seat', for which the director has now casted Deepika Padukone.
Ranbir wanted to work with Alia in the film and thus recommended her name to which his close friend Imtiaz said that Alia is "too young" for the role. And the director casted Ranbir's ex-flame Deepika Padukone instead.
But Ranbir should not worry as Alia Bhatt's sister Pooja Bhatt has plans to cast Ranbir and Alia in a remake of her own film 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi'.
"I would love to remake Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi with Alia and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
I think if there is anyone who could take my place in that film, then it is Alia. And as far as Aamir's character is concerned I think Ranbir is the best choice," Pooja said.
The 1991 film Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and featured Pooja Bhatt and Aamir Khan in the lead.
