Hey guys!! This is my first OS on Rantara...Hope you like it!
"Mom!! Where are you??" Said Ayesha...a fifteen year old girl.
"Coming beta...!!" Antara replied with a smile on her face.
"Mom..I wanted to ask you something...will you tell me??" She said innocently.
"Yeah sure darling tell me what is it that you want to ask me?" Antara said.
"Mom ...Grand ma was telling me that when you were young you used to smile a lot...and live life to the fullest..why don't you do that now mom?? I am old enough to handle it now mom..please tell me" Ayesha told her mother.
"Beta are you sure you want to know..??" Antara replied...her eyes welled up with tears.."It may bring back many memories of your father..!" a drop of tear fell down on her cheeks.
"Yes mom I am sure that I want to know!! " Ayesha replied...she missed her dad.
"Okay beta...I will tell you what happened 14 years ago..." she said and started...
FLASHBACK
"I am so sorry Mr. Raghunath Naik..but your wife has lung cancer..it's in its initial stage so if we start the treatment soon we will be able to save her." The doctor said
Raghu was stunned...he didn't know how to reply..."Antara has cancer???" He said...he died a hundred deaths when he heard what the doctor said.
"Yes sir!! Please control yourself!! I understand that it's hard to believe...but this is life..!! But don't lose your hopes!! She will be all right it's just the first stage." The doctor said.
"Yes doctor!! Please start her treatment soon...!!" Raghu said and rushed inside Antara's room to talk to her.
"Raghu..!" Antara said softly.
Raghu sat beside her on a stool and held her hands in his.."Antara don't worry...you will be fine soon..!" A tear escaped his eyes..Antara wiped it with her hand.
"Raghu?? If I die..please take care of Ayesha..She is so little.." Antara said but Raghu interrupted her saying "No you hear me?? Nothing is going to happen to you!! Nothing! We will always be together...even death cannot separate us!! " raghu said he was crying like anything.
"I know Raghu...the doctor said I will be fine soon...don't cry...and I know we will always be together..!!" Antara said with a smile.
"Now take rest...I will be back.." Raghu said and kissed antara on her forehead..
"Raghu where is Ayesha I want to see her!!" She said...she was dying to meet her little daughter.
"She is home..I will ask Rukhsana to bring her here..!!" Raghu said.
"No..don't!! I don't want her to see me like this..I will meet her when I get back home...!!" Antara replied and smiled.
"Okay Antara..I will be right back...I have to talk to the doctor about your chemotherapy.
"Okay raghu! I love you!! " Antara said..she was so scared that maybe she would have to leave him one day.
"I love you too antara!!" Raghu said and kissed her hand.
The doctors started treating Antara..six months passed...she was getting better...Raghu was really happy...his Miss kaul was fine now.!!
"Only one more chemo Miss Kaul..and then you will be cured...!! I have waited for this day for so long Miss Kaul!! Raghu said and hugged Antara.
Antara had responded well to the treatment..she was getting cured fast..but well chemotherapy has certain side effects...
Antara just shook her head. "Aren't you happy Miss kaul??" Raghu asked...he was surprised.
"Yes I am...!" Antara replied and managed to give a small smile.
"What's wrong antara??" Raghu asked and he placed his hand on hers.
"I don't look beautiful now do I Raghu??" Antara said softly...raghu was shocked to hear this.."Who told you so??" He asked
"No one...I can see that myself..!" She said and looked down a drop of tear from her eyes fell on Raghu's hand.
Raghu was crying himself.." Miss Kaul...you are still the most beautiful girl to me and you always will be!! Always!! For me you are an angel who has come down from heaven just for me...you are my life!! I love you Miss Kaul!!" Raghu hugged Antara tightly...Antara hugged him back..
After two Months...
"Mr.Naik your wife is perfectly fine now...she is free from cancer!! Congratulations!! She is really brave..I must say!" The doctor said.
"Thank you so much Doctor!!" Raghu replied...he was so happy..he knew that now they will be together forever.
They shook hands and Raghu turned towards Antara and smiled...
"Let's go Antara...everybody is waiting for you at home...specially our princess..Ayesha." Raghu said and hugged her.
"Yes let's go..!! " Antara said cheerfully.
They reached home..Antara ran and hugged Ayesha tightly...she had missed her so much...!! Raghu threw a party that night everybody came. Later Raghu took her out for a candle light dinner...they had so much fun together...They came back home and they talked for hours...They were so happy.
After six months...
"Antara I have a meeting today...!! So I will come home a little late!" raghu said.
"Okay sure...no problem..!! I have a surprise for you which you are going to get when you come back! " Antara said.
"Really?? What is it??" Raghu asked excitedly.
"Nah..I don't think I am going to tell you this so easily..!" She replied teasing raghu...she loved to tease him.
"Please Antara...tell me na!!" Raghu said..he was so curious.
"It's a gift...I will give it to you only when you come back..!!" She said and smiled.
"Okay fine!! Don't tell me!! Okay Miss Kaul I am getting late for office so I should get going!!" Raghu said and kissed Antara on her cheek.
"Okay bye Raghu!!" Antara replied and he left.
Antara opened her cupboard and took out his gift...it was a ring..on it the letters R and A were written together. She smiled looking at it. "I hope you like this gift!" She said softly.
At night...
"Where is raghu??" antara said...she was talking to herself..she was holding the ring in her hand and waiting for him to come home.
Raghu was going back home...he was getting impatient...he wanted to know what his gift was...Suddenly a truck came in front of Raghu's car...it was losing control and swerving from one side to another of the road. Raghu panicked seeing the truck...he tried to move his car...but...in a second his world changed...the memories of him and Antara came in front of his eyes...how they met...how they fell in love...they got married...their daughter Ayesha...everything...the truck hit his car..."I love you Antara!" He thought..and the night closed in on him forever...
"Hello?? Who is it?" A man asked.
"I am Mrs. Antara Naik..who are you and why are you calling me from my husband's mobile?" She enquired.
"I am sorry...but your husband is no more...a truck hit his car..I am so sorry..!!" The man said.
Antara couldn't believe what she was hearing...she dropped Raghu's ring on the floor..she fell on the floor shocked..the phone slipped from her hand...she just sat there... "NO THIS CAN'T BE TRUE...RAGHU CAN'T LEAVE ME LIKE THIS...NO THIS IS A LIE...!! HOW CAN YOU LEAVE ME RAGHU?? NO YOU CAN'T..I KNOW...YOU WILL ALWAYS BE WITH ME..FOREVER AND EVER...YOU PROMISED ME..!! RAGHU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " she screamed.
She quickly got up and ran downstairs..she sat in her car and drove to the hospital where Raghu was taken...the doctor took her to room where Raghu was lying lifeless...she went inside the room and saw a person lying there he was covered with a white cloth from head to toe..she went up to him and moved the cloth to see if it was Raghu..."RAGHU!" She said...and collapsed.
14 years had passed...she had never told her daughter about this..she lived only for Ayesha...but everyday Raghu's memories brought back the pain which she had been trying to forget for so many years...
FLASHBACK ENDS.
Ayesha couldn't stop crying...Antara was crying too...but this was normal for her...everyday...the beautiful days that she spent with Raghu brought tears in to her eyes..Ayesha hugged her.
"Mom!! I miss Dad..!!! I have such faint memories of him..I wish he was with us mom!!" Ayesha said...crying her heart out.
"He is with us Ayesha...he always has been..!! And he always will be!! Now don't cry..he wouldn't want to see us crying...would he?" Antara said wiping away her own tears.
"Okay mom!!" Ayesha said...she was still crying...and then she said.."Mom do you still have that ring with you??"
"Yes I do!! I wish I could give it to him...!" Antara replied and a tear escaped from her eye.
"can I see it mom?" Ayesha said.
"Yeah sure beta..." Antara said and got up..she took out the ring and gave it to her daughter."Here you go!" She said.
"It's beautiful mom...why don't you wear it..that way he will always be with you..please wear it mom!! For me?" Ayesha said.
"Okay Ayesha!" She said and wore it on her finger..she smiled a little..."Now we will always be do dil ek jaan!!" Antara said.
Well I know it was crap..I wasn't well actually but wanted to write this anyway..Chappals welcomed!! My first OS on rantara turned out to be a disaster I guess.
