Before leaving Gopi should have told them that she was pregnant and she was leaving because she will not play the blame game with them and if she stays in this environment it would effect her pregnancy. Leaving Ahem with the option to think Gopi didn't mean to drop meera but also to decide his role in Gopi and his future child's life.
No doubt koki would have thought its a ploy to rid the accusations but atleast ahem would have been the chance to think the incident through and decide who he should believe his mother and loose a chance of seeing his child or overcome his grief with gopi bringing the child up.
Gopi should have atleast put the feelers out there with the pregnancy news before leaving.
