The Issue of the 'Ahmed Khans!!'

Well i'm confused with all this since the start!
Who is AHMED KHAN?
Everyone just has an "Ahmed khan" added to the end of their name!
No Ahmed Khan exists as a character in the show since the first episode itself.
He is Dilshad's husband? Zoya's husband? Asad Ayaan's father? No!
So instead of Dilshad Rashid Khan, Zoya Asad khan & Asad/Ayaan Rashid Khan, everyone is just an Ahmed Khan!
Okay, so the surname is Khan, so it must continue, valid!
Suppose he is Rashid's father or grandfather, so it is Rashid Ahmed Khan, valid!
But why does Dilshad or anyone else adds his name behind hers instead of her husbands'?
CVs, we need a logical reason for this.
Cause i dont see even one family with names repeating all the way in the family.
So AsYa's children will be: XYZ Ahmed Khan instead of XYZ Asad Khan ;)
Gullu Gullu (Gul Khan) must provide a reason!
Thank you for reading this mini wall of useless text !
😭
What are your thoughts or theories on the Ahmed Khan wala ritual?

And Dilshad, Zoya, Shireen, Ghaffur, Asad, Ayaan, everyone just had two names?
In Muslims (and most other religions), after marriage, the husbands name (or before marriage: fathers name) is attached. Here if we suppose Ahmed is Rashids father, why is Ghaffur
"Ahmed" Siddiqui?
& thank god its not Haseena Ahmed Qureshi, Sameera Ahmed Qureshi, Zeenat Ahmed Farooqui & Anwar Ahmed Farooqui lol, and Tanveer Ahmed Beg! :P
