OMG Tabu playing Priyanka Chopra mother

The very talented and versatile Tabu would prefer sitting at home rather than doing films that don't interest her. The actress was in talks with Zoya Akhtar for her next Dil Dhadakne Do, but she wasn't pleased with her role.

It's heard that Zoya had approached Tabu to play Priyanka Chopra's mother. Yes, and that's the reason why Tabu was apprehensive about doing the movie. Being no more than 42, the actress doesn't want to play a mom to the 31-year-old Priyanka. After all, wasn't she seen playing Salman Khan's elder sister in Jai Ho.

"Tabu was approached to star in Zoya's film around five months ago but she turned down the role in the first meeting as she didn't think she suited the part. She felt that Priyanka's mother's role didn't fit in with what she is currently looking out for," a source is quoted as saying. Currently, Tabu is doing Vishal Bharadwaj's Haider.

Zoya's next is touted as a family drama. The director has already signed Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma for the film. It was earlier said that Pee Cee and Ranveer will play siblings in the movie. But the makers denied the reports.

Zoya Akhtar will be shooting Dil Dhadakne Do extensively across Europe in countries like Turkey, Spain, Italy, France and Tunisia. The story of the movie is said to be set on a cruise where most of the characters meet.
