in base of education the Bhallas' are nothing compared to the Iyer... I think Raman must give Madhu the right to guide Ruhi ...instead that the little angel stays with her "dadi" who teaches her what is loaded drinks etc...

Instead of pointing to the family as a whole, its necessary to individually evaluate the priorities of each person.Romi doesn't really seem to be very much involved with his studies.Fair enough if he is not enjoying what he is forced to study. There are soo many youngsters out there who out of parental and societal pressures choose those branches in which they are least interested and all that they do is to just manage to pass through the exams for the sake of a degree. The youngest sister of Raman seems to be very well mannered and sober and it can be assumed that she might be doing pretty well in her studies. And Simi seems to be far away from being educated. Each person has got his own characteristics, his likes and dislikes and his own priorities.Just by owning a degree or passing the societal standards of education,a person doesn't actually get called as educated. The Iyyers were not behind in taunting the Bhallas in the earlier episodes of the show. There was one particular scene where Romi after coming to know that Mrs.Iyyer was the one who locked up his mother during the Lohri celebrations,he calmly asks her to not to bother telling the truth to anyone as it would only add create more problems for her.I felt that to be a highly matured act by him.As far as arrogance, pride etc is concerned,I feel that the Iyyers have been toned down a lot after Raman-Ishita marriage and thats what very often happens in our country. The girl' side turns out to be more submissive for the sake of her good married life without any hiccup. But earlier the Iyyers were shown to be on par with the Bhallas in every aspect. So,I would like to end up by saying that the word 'education' has a much more broader and a deeper meaning than just a degree on a paper or a high profile job.

I cant tell you how much I loved your post..

Totally agree. You spoke my mind.. Getting degree does not mean you are a good person..Most of us follow society and always within a box but there are ppl who look out of box and do not follow education system out there can also be good mannered. Different ppl have different likes. Education system in India is very much faulty.. A musician, singer , painter or any artist (not talking about big start but who do this on small scale) is not given same respect as doctors, engineers which is so bad.. Every occupation should be given importance. And ppl can be good human well mannered even if they dnt have degree..

Have to agree with aadk and kankabor on this one. Valuing "education" is certainly a positive trait, but what does "education" - at least in the traditional sense of the term- have to do with the kind of person you are? .
A few more points I would add to their comments
1) I think we all will agree that Ruhi is an extremely sweet, kind, and well-mannered child. And guess who raised her to be this way...the "uneducated and arrogant" Bhalla's, especially Mrs. Bhalla...hmmm...very interesting.
2) There is something to be said about Mrs Bhalla for supporting and accepting her kids as they are. I don't mean to say that she should ignore or not try to rectify the major behavior flaws that they may have but contrast her character with Mrs Iyer- a lady who has a "perfect" daughter- and yet felt the need to lie to her prospective grooms about her infertiliy and lie to her familyrelatives about her relationship status How sad is that and how useless is this "education" if you can't learm to stand for your kids as they are.
3) The fact that there is a post or comment on this forum almost everyday about how well-educated/cultured/good-hearted/broad-minded etc the Iyer's are as compared to the Bhalla's speaks for itself 😆
4) Just for fun---- its funny that being the "educated" gal that she is (dentist no less), Ishita could not differentiate between regular soda and one spiked with alcohol 🤣

Constant comparison between Bhallla family and Iyer family and between punjabi and South Indian, is this high education sign ? . Your education is measured by your behavior and values and not from learnt facts and mugged text books . Just remember piece of paper form university doesn't make you educated . You need more than that to be educated .
Every day there seems to be a new article published about how the old standard of "go to a good school, get a good job" is no longer relevant. In times like these, even if you don't have a degree, the one thing you can count on is that you're much likelier to be successful when you wear a suit.i will give at many examples of people who are inventors do not have college degree to show you . i.e .Mark Zuckerburg . I am sure most of you have his Facebook accounts . He is a college drop out . Bill Gates , is next big one. And many many more .
Vandita is principal but is her behavior reflects that? We needed justification from writer . Her behavior was very childish at times specially during Ishita's wedding . taunting Punjabi culture is not suitable to college principal who is in charge of students of many cultures . She needs to set an example .
Ishita's behavior is also very condescending towards Bhalla and Ramen .

I have question , any one who wants to answer me . Why Iyers agreed and and happy with their son -in- law ? He is from uneducated Bhalla family . He drinks, arrogant . Label as child abuser ( these people also have history of domestic abuse ) who was married before with two kids and hates Ishita.?

I like the fact that they aren't portraying women as mere housewives. Like Raman mentioned when he was supporting Ishita yesterday, they are required to multitask and handle different things.
