| The Chicago Sun-Times published an article this morning about fall films, saying that Goblet of Fire "is expected to claim the No. 1 box-office title this season." "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" opens Nov. 18, and we can't think of a better reason to go back to the movies. Why? Because people are still wild about Harry, whose audience crosses both age and gender lines in its appeal. Because there was a new book this summer that renewed our hankering for Hogwarts. Because this movie also promises a teenage Harry who likes girls -- which is enough to make most Muggles count the days until they can see their boy wizard grow up and perhaps experience his first magical kiss.... New director Mike Newell says in a nervous voice, "It's a dense, wonderful book, and it's just my job not to mess it up." |
