Are Kangana and Vidya, the REAL Queens?

Even though they both are as different as two people can be, they have always been known as the most talented actresses we currently have, maybe even filling in the shoes that used to be occupied by Tabu and Urmila 10 years ago.

They both won the debut award at Filmfare in 2006/2007, and since then they have consistently been known for their strong acting talent right from their first movie.

Of course they have made bad movie choices as well (Hey Baby, Ghanchakkar, Rascals) but overall they have acted very well and in my opinion kind of iconic in their own way.

Do you think they are the real queens?...as opposed to the Deepika's and Priyanka's? In KWK, when Karan asks his guests to rate female acting abilities...He doesn't even put them in the list...he sticks to Priyanka, Deepika, Kareena, Anushka, Katrina...

I don't think they are any less popular than these other girls, apparently Aishwarya and Vidya were the most searched actresses, im sure that counts for something.

the biggest problem with bollywood is #1, #2s...hollywood does not have this. maybe thats why a 60yr becomes a queen of the moment too.

not only vidya and kangana..i find pari getting there as well. this is the moment for women i guess. each other wk ladies are smashing with marvelous performances . what else we could ask for.

I think you misinterpreted my post, I never said Vidya/Kangana are number 1, they actually aren't. But I think they should be, because as you said, they are doing really well and should be recognized for it.

I think the moment for women, will be that day when they can command as big openings as the male counterparts. Until then, its a long uphill battle. BUt yeah, Kangana and Vidya have strongly contributed to that movement and they deserve credit...as opposed to other heavily talked about actresses that IMO are not that talented and are overrated like Deepika, Katrina etc.
