Part-2:

She returned to her place and seemed restless.

"What's the matter?" he asked at last.

"What?" she returned, as if she was in her own thoughts and replied harshly.

"Any problem? I mean..."

"No, No! Nothing!" she said too quickly.

"Why are you looking tensed then?" he started digging, as she expected he would. That was why she tried to make the talk quiet and short. Now this!

All right!

She braced herself and turned to face him.

"That was a friend of mine."

She explained.

"I don't see a problem there!" he commented.

Everything she concerned was a critical thing to him and he did criticize everything she concerned.

"Oh! That's not a problem of course. He is my boyfriend, that is!"

She emphasized the boy friend', as if to say he was torturing her.

"Oh!" he responded and looked askance at her.

'What is that I see on his face, near the eyes and on the edges of his lips?'

May be she heard a slight gush out of his nostrils.

Anyway , that was his problem. Not hers.

It was he, who wanted it in the first place and it was not her mistake.

"What's his name?' he tested.

"Hah! Yes, K-Krish!" she said from her reverie.

"3?" he asked teasingly.

"Haan? Oh! No! Funny!" she laughed .

"In a sense he is Krish 1', I mean that was the first movie we saw on a date."

"So you've got a boy friend at last!" [Meaning: No need to search anymore.]

She blazed at him and retorted back.

"That's why I didn't tell you this long! You men are all alike-"

"So what's your problem?" he cut in.

She snapped and got to her feet. He clutched her wrist and said in a low tone,

"This is a hospital. Don't make a scene." he tried to quiet her. But...

"Then don't push me to make one!" she returned, but calmed a bit.

She resumed her seat, and looked at her mobile.

"I meant, what was your problem with this well old boy friend?"

'After all he is gossipy! Hah?'

'What if I say "That's none of your business! "

She didn't want him to lose his temper at this point and herself to say Don't make a scene here!' like a tit for tat, and also did not want the doctor to see them off-guard.

So she said instead, "We can go over there and talk ,if you don't mind. She pointed the space near the empty corridor.

As it was not for from the operation theatre, he accepted at once.

Once they reached there, she started talking,

"I need you to remember this and remember well," she started with a preamble," that you are asking that's why I'm telling .Ok?"

"All right! Proceed!" he said and hated himself to do so.

"We are not on good terms lately since his is not ready to accept our relationship. He is telling we can get married first and convince her later. I'm insisting that getting married with her consent is the fair way to proceed."

"I don't think that's the case."

"What do you mean?"

Again a crashing situation arose slowly.

"Oh! Come on. If you need clarification for every word I say, I think we can get nowhere with this. I meant it does really his mother denies you to accept? As for I know you are not the type simply accepting a defeat like that lightly. See! In our case, for instance, you are still not accepting the fact that I try to brush you off every time you approach for a talk. No hard feelings. Ok?"

She laughed away the insult.

And he relieved that she did. All he concerned now was making her talk.

"Then ? Didn't you try to get her acceptance?"

"That's the problem. You know, what she doesn't like is my talkative nature."

He could not help but laugh.

"So you decided to face the music?"

She grinned at him. But said, "Enough. So that's my situation. And now she is going to engage him with a girl, a close relative to the family.

"And he is asking me what to do! You tell me, what to do now! Convincing her is getting impossible as the complaining again and again about the girl that she is calling him up. Who said to give her his number? I-"

She did not finish when they heard footsteps behind. They turned to encounter the doctor.
