Adi wonderful post...

I think first Ruqu should question herself why she is feeling jealous of Jodha ? She did felt jealous of Salima in fake pregnancy track when Jalaal taken Salima advice instead of her...

So is this jealousy IS FOR loosing Jalaal's importance, or Auda (power) or his friendship, or love... Ruqu first should understand what she want...

As now Jalaal understood what he want... He wants Ruku friendship, Salima advice & support and JO love & companion...

Salima understood... she still loves BK, but being jalaal's wife will respect him, advice him all duties except love...

Jodha is understanding... She want Jalaal's love & will be happy being his begum..

So now Jalaal, Salima & JO have understood clearly want they want... Till now Ruqu didn't in the position to think, choose & decide want she really wants, as everything is in the platter power with jalaal... But now she is thinking loosing both to JO... So it's good for her first to understand herself & then go and talk to jalaal...

Adiana , a big 👍🏼 for ur post . I ve more or less written the same in another thread for arguing Jalal s case with regard to Ruq 😊 . Jalal has given ample verbal & action pointers to Ruq of Jo s changed position in his life, if Ruq s chooses to ignore & put on her worst behaviour despite all this , then the blame is solely on her. Doesn't ahe know what is seemly princess behaviour & where the limit ends, does Jalal have to keep firmly drawing lines & rules for her. No, he has said his preferences, his feelings & showed his anger too, so am on Jalal s side in this matter.

All ur other points regarding Jodha feeling a 3 rd wheel in Ruqlal relationship is worth much thought too. 😊 . Will come back on that soon 😳

Thanks Gayatri. All I wanted to point was that relationships are a 2-way street and only expecting TE to be maintaining from his end all the relationships especially friendships is not fair to him and in the Ruq-Jalal friendship I have only seen Jalal as the friend, never Ruqs.

As for Jodha's convoluted thinking, even I realised this line of thought after the boat ride incident and this took me back incident by incident and I finally concluded that this is her problem and despite TE time and again telling her that she is as much his wife and important as Ruqs she has not let her barriers down. A lot of the credit for her convoluted thinking goes to MA and Ruqs actually!!!

Its only with this Kanha murti kaand that she is letting this convoluted thinking go and all becoz TE too realised this and has been doing all to make her understand that she is not the third wheel.

Also jodha was 17-18 when she got married to Jallu in the show, her mother mentioned her age while telling Jodha about Shaguni bai's prophecy.
Now this is what I remember from the epis, please do tell me if i'ts wrong 😊

in reality, they were born in 1542 and got married in Feb, 1562 when Jodha was around 19. I think Ruq was born in May while Jo and Jalal were born in Oct. Jo is a fortnight older to Jalal.

Dear all, Thanks for the wonderful and lively discussion and the varied POVs.

As Abhay and I predicted on quite a few posts - this Jashn will see our TE being attacked.

Most probably TE will be injured - the method is by using a form of needle blown threw a pipe - this is still used in a number of tribal and rural areas - and I also expect the needle to be a poisoned one - we may now get a reverse of the 'TE bringing back Jodha from death's door' and see 'TE's Chudail bring him back with a similar confession' - now that will call for some very interesting recall from TE!!!

As for the Jodha kidnap spoiler - as far as my reading of historical texts go I have not come across any such happening of any of Akbar's wives being kidnapped much less one of his Chief Queens - so my advice to all is 'Just Chill' and enjoy our Ameri Mirchi commanding her Shahenshah to return to her becoz she is 'In Love' with him and he cannot leave her and go!!!

I do very much agree with the fact that Jalal has been a friend to ruqs more than she being a friend to him..reason is...if we are remember the post tiger attack recovery of Jalal and when hamida asks jodha, MA asks ruqs whom did you pray for the shehansha or jalal both answer so differently..though jodha does not mention him as her husband yet she says she prayed for the recovery of a son, of a friend ,of a human being who saved her whom people call shehensha whereas ruqs says she prayed for the shehensha...Also we should revisit the scene where Jodha once asked ruqs will she love Jalal as much if he were not a shehensha ...All these incidents showed what ruqs gives importance to jalal as shehensha rather than jalal as a person. Where as Jalal understood her, stood by her no matter what the circumstances , may it be the kanha inicident or the boat ride.

Adi, I love TE/Jalal/Rajat so whatever for him I will always stand by it.

You have very well described about his perspective/state of mind and POV.

And from the time I have started watching this show and reading all the facts about Abkar (thanks to historians here) I have great respect for Akbar, The Great.

On a serious note, Jalal was not a bad person. He was just made cruel because of the people/teacher/mentor/guide around him .

But even after being with such people he tried to adapt and lean good things. Doesn't this show how good he is by heart?

A few of his great qualities are

He is a great warrior

Though he was illiterate he always encouraged education. (can see it when he thanks Jodha for teaching Rahim and she learning from him)

He was very broad minded

He was open to accept all relations - In those times can you expect a Muslim to accept his wife to follow non-Islamic religion (be it fro whatever reason)

He did accept/took all good aspects from all religions - which is mentioned in many books

He has the courage to accept his mistake , apologize and correct himself - And its really takes a lot of courage to accepts once mistake and he being an emperor, its more difficult.

He is teada at times and I guess there is nothing wrong - agar shee seede ungle pe nahe tho tede he sahe.. nothing wrong na

I can go on Adi.. have some work but just couldn't stop myself from comments about my TE
