I guess Thakur understood that Mohini is the thakurain's sister. Maybe that is why when the Thakurain inquired about the lady who came to visit him, he refrained from revealing Mohini's name and referred to her as a woman who came to him because of some property issues.

This is just my POV, it is possible that the Thakur overlooked that fact.
