I don't know about the cross over b/w the 2 shows but this thought occurred to me also. In daily soaps they have to think way ahead so that they can show continuity many months later.
Guruji might be a close friend of Tara's dad who has been implicated for his murder (probably by RP) He could even be MJay's dad😆 You never know, Mjay's dad and Tara's dad might have been close buddies. maybe that's why he talks like Tara's dad. RP might have got Tara's dad killed and blamed Guruji. It might be a future track to show a MU b/w Mjay and Tara. They need constant fuel to add to the fire, this could be it😆

What I don't understand is why is there mention of Meethi's relatives making an entry but no news about Guruji?

That means the relations get even more messy!!!!!
