The Oscar awards have been announced recently. And like every year, no film from India found a place in the nomination list of the prestigious awards.
Since 1957, India has sent 45 films to the Oscars as its official entry. Out of these, only three films viz Mother India(1957), Salaam Bombay (1988) and Lagaan (2001) were nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film' category.
Now, with the new age cinema coming in and filmmakers experimenting with different genres and concepts, we asked a few actors from Telly land on which film they feel should have won an Oscar.
Vivian D'sena: Bhaag Milkha Bhaag definitely deserves to win the Oscars. Firstly, the movie is about our national hero Milkha Singh and above all the film was beautifully shot and had Farhan Akhtar showing off his mettle as an actor; he did work really hard and performed wonderfully.
