As the shaadi is coming closer it was a tense yet colorful sangeet ceremony that we witnessed for Rudra and Paro in Nautanki Telefilms Rangrasiya on Colors. With their sizzling chemistry, the audience was keen to see the two get married in the show which the couple had almost achieved despite the odd circumstances. There was also the possibility of Rudra's mother (Sadia Siddiqui) making an appearance in her son's wedding but now the on screen wedding seems to be in doldrums.
Says a reliable source, "Ashish Sharma who plays Rudra in Rangrasiya has taken seriously ill. Due to high fever he has stopped shooting since yesterday. Since he is the main lead who is about to marry Paro (Sanaya Irani) the entire story was planned revolving there shaadi but due to this sudden crisis now there is major confusion about what happens next!"
The production house is trying to gear up for major changes adds our source, "The creatives are working overtime to change the story and maybe introduce a new track which will shift focus from the wedding. Rudra who in all probability will go missing for some days now till Ashish gets back fit enough to shoot for the show. The possibilities are many right from Rudra going missing to new characters being added to distract the audience while at the same time keep the audience attention intact. It is also possible that the track will now focus more on Laila (Ankita Sharma) or the backstory of Thakur (Tarun Khanna) and Rudra's mother."
And this might be a slightly longish distraction since as per our source Ashish will take time to recuperate, "Ashish has been diagnosed with malaria and his doctors are going to give their opinion tomorrow morning. Depending on their advice he might even need hospitalization and if that happens then he will have to take it easy for 8 to 10 days at least. Even after that he will feel weak due to the after effects and he will take time to regain his strength and body which is very much needed since he plays the role of a BSD officer who cannot look lean."
When we called Ashish Sharma, his wife Archana Taide answered and confirmed the news. Without wanting to elaborate much she said, "Yes, it is true that Ashish is not keeping well since yesterday. However, I would like to thank the production house and all the people on the sets who took good care of him when he fell ill on the sets itself. The producers Saurabh Tewari and Abhinav Shukla were very supportive and have allowed him to take rest till he feels better."
