It seems Kareena Kapoor's career has hit a rough patch after her last film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein sank at the box office without a trace. Her purported magnum opus Shuddhi is stuck in limbo, and now it's heard that Bombay Samurai, co-starring Farhan Akhtar, might meet a similar fate.
While the detractors haven't written her off yet, there is no denying that Kareena Kapoor's career is in doldrums. The actress was supposed to start working on Karan Johar's Shuddhi from February, but the movie's shoot got delayed with no confirmation when it's going to take off. Kareena has even said in an interview that she is not sure whether she will work in Shuddhi or not.
Kareena Kapoor was then approached for Bombay Samurai, a film with Farhan Akhtar. With this movie, she was said to be making a departure from mainstream Bollywood masala fare. Kareena was even excited for this touted-as wacky' film.

"I am doing a very interesting film which is going to star Farhan Akhtar and me. I have never worked with Farhan, he directed me in 'Don' when I did the song. It's also going to be an international film which is going to be the first of its kind, which will get an international release apart from releasing in mainstream cinema here," Bebo told reporters about Bombay Samurai.
The latest on the movie's front is that it has been put on the backburner while some insist that it has been scrapped altogether, claims sources.
If that's the case, then Kareena Kapoor has only Singham 2 in her kitty besides her husband Saif Ali Khan's Happy Ending, in which she will be seen in a cameo. Wondering whether the actress has lost her sheen or is it just a professional lean patch for her!
