Ami Trivedi went to the famed Shreenathji temple in Rajasthan for a darshan recently

The actress recently visited the famed Shreenathji temple in Rajasthan.
Post her SaharaOne drama, Kituu Sabb Jaantii Hai, was yanked off air, Ami did an episode of the Sony horror show, Aahat.
"Now that I have time on hand, I decided to fulfil my longstanding desire to visit the place," says Ami. "I had visited it as a child but had only faint memories."

Along with her cousin, Urvi Ashar, she hit the high road to Rajasthan.
"We travelled by road all the way to Nathdwar, near Udaipur, where the temple is located.
As my parents (Tushar and Jaya Trivedi) are based in London, I live with Urvi and her folks in Andheri," says Ami.
Wasn't she recognised there? "Wherever we stopped, people not only called me Kituu but also knew my real name.
Some even remembered me from my Gujarati theatre days."

The only thing is that the place is packed at all times; you hardly get seconds for the darshan as there are people pushing you.
At one time, I had my back facing the deity! Thanks to the crowd, I could not even turn and stand straight," rues the actress.
She hopes to visit the place again with her mother later this year. Meanwhile, she is exploring new offers on the small screen as well as on stage. "I'm taking my time. I'm in no hurry. I'd like to chill out for a while now." |
