We're back on a Saturday for the first time for a take 5. Honestly, it is easier when you have an hour to choose from ... Actually, it was quite good for a maha episode where you typically see more drama and less story progression - and there were quite a few Akdha scenes!

Also, loved the fact that there was continuity from yesterday- you could see the effect of what Jalal did yesterday- prepare both Jodha and Ruqs for their upcoming challenges. 😊

So, here is my take 5, mostly from the Akdha scenes:

As always, I love tarazu scenes and I am going to split it into two parts of the Akdha interaction:

(1) Jalal's words to convince Jodha: Loved it to the core. I think yesterday he used his tedapan to change her frame of mind to consider the harem ward position. Today, when he saw her in debate, Jalal gave direct encouragement to convince her. I loved how he highlighted her strength, how she had accepted Agra, and was abiding by two tehzeeb. I don't think he ever extolled her qualities so well before, which I think will only further strengthen their relationship. Jodha now knows how much he admires her- and not just for the small things like her head massages. 😆

(2) A role reversal I hope lasts: At the tarazu we mostly saw Jodha give advice to Jalal as he was weighing options and helped him make the right decision. Today, it was Jodha at a crossroads and Jalal advising her, and I loved it!Though we will see Jodha rise to greatness, I am hoping we will also see Jalal's role in her rise instead of just making Jodha a mahaan devi. This scene is giving me hope in this direction. 😊

(3) Akdha interaction after she accepts the BEK challenge; three things I liked:
- Jalal's usual taunt that she says one thing and does another- except this time she blamed him for it ... It was a fun nok-jhok
- Jalal's continued understanding of Ruqs and warning her to not underestimate her- it shows his concern and how he continues to guide her
- A dialogue that showed how they were becoming equals: when he said that I will take care of sultanate and you harem ... Hopefully, they will show Jalal managing more political issues from. Ow on. 😉
- The line that is the most important to all of us: When Jalal tella Jodha Begum to continue to meet him... This is important for our Akdha scenes. 😉

Only thing I didn't like: her hiding the kid from her... Hope this does not lead to any MU. Luckily she has some witnesses of the kid. Somehow I think the kid / empathy to slaves may help her become the BEK. Hope the CVs surprise us here!

(4) The Akdha interaction on Sujamal: A few things I liked here ...
- Jalal inviting her to the Arms room- earlier she had forced herself in during the Tasleem track
- I love how Jalal-Jodha continue to have meaningful conversations on deep topics 👏
- Jodha's concern at his bleeding hand- though I am glad she didn't leave to bring the lep
- Their heartfelt conversation on Sujamal- now Jalal also knows she does not consider him her brother
- This scene gave me hope that Sujamal may actually get a surprise when he meets Jodha- she may actually turn against him and help Jalal

(5) Giving this was an hour episode, there were a lot of little things that brought a smile on my face that I wanted to share here:
- Jodha with a kid : Always love to see Jodha with a kid- she is so loving with kids. Can't wait to see her with kids of her own like Jalal 😉
- Liked how Jalal announced that Ruqs is ready for a challenger- it made it clear what his intentions were in his interaction with Ruqs yesterday- be ready for the challenge
- Happiness on people's faces as Jodha agrees to take on the challenge ... Especially Hamida Bano and Salima
- Jalal struggling to hide his happiness that Jodha had accepted the challenge ... He didn't know where to keep his face but loved his nod of approval to Jodha as he was leaving 😊
- As always, loved Hamida Bano and Jodha's bonding. There was something touching when Jodha showed her respect to her last father-in-law Humayan.

My predictions:
- Hoshiyar being with Jodha is a ploy to spy on what Jodha is going to do and thwart her attempts to be BEK, e.g., Krishna ki murthi. As long as Jalal is at her side and giving her advice, I am good with it.
- I am not going to assume another major MU till I have to ... The CVs surprised me with a non-dramatic ME and I am willing to be surprised more.

What are your thoughts on our first Mahaepisode?

I liked the Tarazu scene and the last scene, it showed how much they care and respect each other's views and this is very important in a relationship and well portrayed on screen, actually cv's are surprising us nowadays.
And even I didn't like Jo hiding the kid from Jalal, didn't moti tell her to inform at least ammijaan. She doesn't seem to learn.

Well.
Had no qualms watching it today.
Fine episode..

Hoshiyaar is surely the key mohra here used by Ruqs against Jodha for kanhaji murtis. MA ko bhi defeat kr dia Ruqs ne. Btw, that child may be use to later expose Ruqs. If he is hidden in hojra there is something for us. Lets c how much correct these views come out to be.

Its a sanket that Tabassum got hint of Sharif's ill intentions.

War Politics seems back.

Overall, leads were balanced in their work. Perfect episode.

Another awesome take.!.

Completely agree! It was as good as a normal episode in terms of pace instead of dragging- I was expecting harem drama and we got Akdha instead. They need to promote these ME better 😊

This was definitely the best episode of the week. It set the stage nicely for a lot of drama next week. Though the focus was harem politics, there were many other little things that added flavor to the episode like the slavery issue, the child, Surjamal's doings etc

I liked the Jalal-Jodha talk over Surjamal. If now, Jodha tries to meet Surjamal, the ire of the emperor she will get will be totally well deserved.

Those are two brilliant picks- shows a mature relationship.

Though I didn't like it ... I think it is relatively minor compared to what happened with Shivani etc. Also the fact she has a witness in Ruqsana is comforting. The CVs have to leave some suspense- but I look forward to being surprised 😊

Agree on Hoshiyaar; somehow I also feel the boy will help Jodha. Hope we are correct. 😊

Its a sanket that Tabassum got hint of Sharif's ill intentions.

I hope she mentions it- I wish she had told Sharif that since you don't need the painting let me give it to the Shehenshah 😆
