Shark Attack
At night a man is in a cage begging to be let go, but he is sent into the water by 2 or 3 men. Then the rope holding the cage is cut by one of the men on the boat. Underwater a shark starts circling the cage and then attacks at it trying to get to the man. (Reminds me of the shark scene from Luck.)
2 days later, a boat is out in the water. Abhijeet, Shreya, Nik, and Pankaj are on the boat. (Haye the blue coat and black shirt are killer. 😳) Pankaj is on the phone asking if their in the shark area and he is told that the whole area is filled with sharks. Abhijeet notices a boat out in the area though they don't see any shark fins. Abhijeet tells Shreya to get ready as Nik throws the anchor. Abhijeet and Shreya get ready in scuba diving equipment as Pankaj is asking if they have to do this experiment because no shark would say that the shark ate 2 people. (Abhijeet sir has flying hair and a very nice fitting body suit. Need I say more? 😳 Uff tum sab ne mil kar iss choti bachi ko bigar diya hai. Maine kabhi aise colourful thoughts nahi soche the jaise aaj soch rahi hoon. ☺️ Waise just one thing. I like Shreya in such scenes because she is a real officer instead of the romantic person FW tries to portray her as.) Abhijeet says we need to experiment if a shark eats a person if the person doesn't bother the shark. Pankaj says that a shark did eat that person in the cage and the lifeguard though after coming onto the edge of the water. Abhijeet reminds him that the marine biologist told them that a shark never comes to the edge of the water. Then Abhijeet and Shreya jump into the water as Nik and Pankaj watch from above. Abhijeet motions Shreya to go one way as he swims another way in the water. (Okay FW this is a huge mistake. Scuba divers always swim in pairs and never divi up like that! They always swim in the same direction together.) Pankaj is yelling for Abhijeet and Shreya from the top. He sees a couple of shark fins and starts yelling even more. Nik finally tells him to shut up. (For the first time I love you Nik. 😆) Underwater, Shreya sees a shark and starts swimming away from it in fear when a man comes in the way and sprays something at the shark. It swims away from them. The man gives a calming sign and then both come up. Abhijeet also comes up from another side. The other people on that boat are yelling at the man, Amin, to come quickly. The man helps Shreya towards the boat and the two people on the boat help Shreya onto the boat as Abhijeet swims towards that boat as well. In the boat, Shreya says that she got scared on seeing the shark. Amin explains that the shark likes to check out new things and Shreya was getting scared so she was flailing. On seeing the flailing the shark might have thought that Shreya wanted to attack the shark and would have attacked her. (Err I'm a bit confused with this scene. Were there 2 boats or not? Because all of a sudden Pankaj and Nik were on this boat as well. 🤔) Abhijeet asks about Amin who says he and his team are marine biologists. Abhijeet says that they are investigating 2 deaths, which they feel could be murders. Amin asks why do you think that as many people are mistaken about sharks and that's why he asked. Abhijeet explains that 3 days ago they found a body.
*Flashback begins*
Two men fall off their boat and are drowning. One of the lifeguards goes out as the other one has a wound on his knee. The lifeguard reaches the 2 men and disappears as well. Then Abhijeet is there and the lifeguards explain that they often go out there and are never attacked because the shark only attacks if it is in danger. They say that Jatin (the lifeguard who went out) was planned to be brought out there because him and the 2 fishermen are trained not to bother a shark. Nik and Pankaj are searching for things nearby when Nik finds a piece of cloth that might belong to Jatin. (Okay I get the assumption. But then why are you making the assumption true by repeating again and again that it is from Jatin's clothes? It could be from someone else's clothes. It could also be something old.) They bring it over and there is a device-like thing in it. Abhijeet asks the two lifeguards about it but they don't recognize it either.
The next day, Daya, Freddy, and Purvi are looking at another body that was found in the same area. It's a partial body and there is part of a shark cage around it. (It was nice to see Daya sir after so long.) Daya is wondering about the lock. He says these cages often have automatic locks so that a person can go in and out easily and he suspects it to be a murder.
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe and Tarika are working on separate things. While Dr. Salunkhe is examining a body, Tarika is listening to some tape. (Aaj kal forensic doctors audio experts ka bhi kam karne lag gaye hain? Wah!) Dr. Salunkhe is surprised to find something and says that this can't be. ACP sir asks what can't be. Dr. Salunkhe says that he found a metal piece and it can't be from a shark's tooth. ACP sir thinks that it is a knife's piece and Dr. Salunkhe agrees. Sachin is surprised that it means someone attacked him with a knife first. Then Tarika finds something and says that the device that they found in the lifeguard's pocket is a vibrating device that is run by a remote. ACP sir wonders how this lifeguard and this man are connected and why both were attacked by a shark. (Wait, wait, wait! How do you know that Jatin was attacked by a shark?!! Maybe he's the criminal and he went out and disappeared in a submarine or swam away underwater?)
A marine biologist tells ACP sir, Sachin, and Purvi that the shark was brought to attack them. He says that it is has to be a tiger shark which lives in deep water. He continues that the shark probably smelled the blood that was coming out of the man's knife wound and that's why it attacked the man. ACP sir asks why the shark attacked Jatin then. (I repeat my question. How do you know the shark attacked Jatin? There was no shark fin in the water and Jatin disappeared underwater. You haven't even found his body yet!) The biologist says that it's because of the vibrating device. Purvi asks how did the shark hear the device when they have no ears. The biologist says that the waves that come out of the device are felt by the shark and it felt that a prey of its was in the water and that's why it attacked Jatin. ACP sir says that the shark was led to attack the man and Jatin and this was no accident. He says that this could only be done by someone who knew a lot about sharks.
*Flashback ends*
On the boat, Abhijeet finishes the explanation. Shreya asks which sharks are present in this area of the ocean. Amin replies tiger sharks. Abhijeet thanks him and Shreya says that tiger sharks attacked Jatin and that man. Nik wonders what the man wanted. Abhijeet says that the man is badmouthing sharks. (Sharks are already villains in most people's minds. Let me tell you that a friend of mine went scuba diving once and she said that she swam by a shark and the shark simply "looked" at her and moved on. So yes sharks are man-eaters but only if they feel threatened by man. And am I ever so glad that FW got that fact right. And most of the other facts that they've pointed out about sharks have been correct so far as well. I guess they did do a bit of research into sharks.)
Abhijeet and Nik are meeting with the two lifeguards again. Abhijeet explains about the vibrating device and Nik adds that the murderer knew that Jatin would have to go into the water and he knew about the timings and the other lifeguard's wound. Abhijeet asks about Jatin, but both lifeguards don't know much about him. (Why is it that every time CID asks about a victim no one knows anything about him? 😆) They do know that he used to work in an animal adventure channel and he used to make movies on underwater animals. (Let me guess. CID will find out that Jatin shot something underwater that he shouldn't have shot and that's why he was killed. 🤔) Nik wonders why a man left that channel and came here.
They meet with the man who owned the boat. (This guy owns boats? He looks more like a transport business owner. And he even talks like one!) The man says that the men who rented his boat weren't fishermen. They just wanted to explore the ocean. Abhijeet gets angry and says that because of him one man lost his life. The man says that the 2 came by a truck and he remembers that there was a weird poem written on the back of the truck. He repeats it. Abhijeet is sure that there is a transport company involved in all this. Abhijeet gets angry at the man for renting a boat out to people who don't give their full details. Then he tells the man to get a sketch made of the two men.
Sachin, Purvi, and Nik are at a transport company asking about the truck. He shows the sketches. They are going about several truck companies with the owner of the boat. One of the truck owners says he's illiterate and Pankaj gets angry saying "Unpadh hai. Arre padh likh liya hota toh CID ke kuch kam aa jata! Jao padho likho!" (Sorry I had to write this here. This dialogue and the way Ajay Nagrath said it was too funny. 😆) Then they reach one owner and find the truck. The boat owner says that he remembers there was a big steel cage in the back. Sachin and Purvi ask the owner about the two men. The owner recognizes them as Ballu and Chinku and points them out. The two see CID and are about to run, but Sachin, Purvi, and Pankaj pull out their guns. They reveal that they did it all for money and that the man had a weird enmity against the other man and the first man was from an animal adventure channel. (Say what? 😲 Either I missed something or what these 2 said made no sense.)
ACP sir, Sachin, Purvi, and Pankaj are at the animal adventure channel's site and meet Mr. Niketan, the head. They ask why Jatin left his job. Niketan tells a man to open a file. Niketan says that in 2012 Jatin used to be programming head for Water Life Department and he had 3 people on his team: Prachi, Diya, and Sid. (Wah kya baat hai. This guy remembers everything clearly from 2012. I'm sorry to say but I don't remember what happened in January and this guy remembers events in 2012. Wah!) He had sent the 4 to Australia to make a documentary on sharks and they got stuck in shark poaching. Diya and Prachi never returned and Sid and Jatin never said anything so he had to fire them. (Okay so I was a bit wrong. This was about shark poaching not seeing something illegal underwater.) ACP sir says that this all has to do with shark poaching and Sachin suggests that the body is Sid's as they didn't find Jatin's body. The file is opened and Niketan points out the 4. The 2 truckers are brought in and Sachin wonders if Diya or Prachi did something. The 2 truckers look at Niketan and then look at the photos and recognize Sid as the one they put in the water. ACP sir asks who gave them money to put Sid in the water and the 2 truckers point at Niketan. (Abey idiot Niketan! Which fool tells CID about the same guy that you murdered? Please FW. Please! Give us some proper criminal for once. Not an idiot!)
*Flashback begins*
Chinku and Ballu bring a cage out and help 2 men put Sid's body in the cage. Then they lock the cage and Niketan injects Sid with something to bring him into consciousness so that he can see his death. (Err...say what? Something to help bring someone into consciousness?) Sid comes to and slowly stands up and starts asking questions. Niketan is laughing like a fool, well more like a donkey. (Why does every criminal have such a bad laugh? Uff. *face palms*) Sid begs to be let go, but the 4 take the cage away.
*Flashback ends*
Niketan says that these guys are lying and he didn't do anything like that. ACP sir says that we'll find out who is lying and who is telling the truth.
Abhijeet is cutting a lock and Pankaj asks to be given a chance to break the door like Daya sir. (Pankaj did a little dance step more than a kick step here. 😆) Abhijeet says that I'll talk to ACP sir and Pankaj says he was joking and Abhijeet says he was joking as well. They find the house is clean though it has been supposedly closed for a year. They find out it is Prachi's house and Abhijeet is shocked to see Prachi's husband's photo.
ACP sir and Purvi are at Diya's house and the maid says that Diya died a year back out of the country and her sister came here to live a few month back from the foreign. Her name is Maya. ACP sir seems to recognize the name. He starts thinking about the name and asks for a photo of Maya. The maid brings a photo.
Abhijeet sees lots of photos of sharks on a wall and several different photos on a table of the underwater. (Why does every criminal lay out proof of them being a criminal like that? I study about finances but my walls have photos of myself and my family. Not of finances.)
The maid shows ACP sir a photo of Maya and he recognizes her from the boat that Abhijeet, Shreya, Nik, and Pankaj were on. (Notice how I mention everyone on the boat. ACP sir isn't in this list. Then how can he recognize Maya?!! FW buck up! Such bloopers are getting frustrating now! 😡)
Abhijeet says we've finally found the evidence we were looking for. He sees a photo of Sid and the cage on the wall. And then another photo of Jatin and the vibrating device. Abhijeet sees a hidden photo and is shocked to see the person. (Someone please beat some sense into the FW creative team!!! Which culprit puts up pictures of their victims and their plans so easily to be found?!! I am super angry now! 😡) Pankaj thinks this person is going to be murdered. Then ACP sir calls Abhijeet and Abhijeet says that he knows whose doing all this.
Back out in the water, Purvi, Daya and Freddy are examining the waters carefully. Freddy sees the boat through his binoculars and they take their boat closer to that boat. Amin, Maya, and his other team member are getting ready to jump into the water again. (I'm still a bit confused if this guy's name is Amin or Amil.) They notice the other boat and Maya recognizes the people on the boat as CID members. (Now, now. Maya only met Abhijeet, Nik, Pankaj, and Shreya. So then how can she recognize Daya, Purvi, and Freddy?) Amin is left a bit shocked and he pushes Maya into the water. (Ah so Amin is the murderer. Good going dude. You think by pushing Maya into the water you could get away? I guess he's Prachi's husband that Abhijeet was so surprised to see.) Daya shoots a bullet into Amin's leg. Purvi jumps into the water in her scuba diving gear as well to find Maya as a shark starts moving towards Maya. Daya meanwhile takes his boat nearer to Amin's boat. Purvi reaches Maya and helps her up as Amin tries to get away, but Daya catches him and slaps him.
Amin is crying and says that he did everything. He said that those 3 left his wife to die in Australia near a shark. He says that the 3 didn't even report Prachi's death in India. (Excuse me but exactly how did you find out that Sid, Jatin, and Diya were behind Prachi's death. It could be an accident. It could have been someone else. Just because they got scared and ran away doesn't mean that they were the murderers!) He continues that Diya also died later, but Sid and Jatin were still alive. He says that he wanted to kill Maya because she was Diya's sister. Maya says that Amin told her that Sid and Jatin killed Diya and that's why she helped him. Daya asks why did he trap Niketan. Amin says that he had to trap someone and so he met Ballu and Chinku wearing Niketan's mask. (Yeah another obvious thing.) Daya delivers the final death sentence.
