You're wrong because I wanted the revenge too!But for that later.Madhu didn't have self-respect?Wrong again!How could she endure all those RK's tortures when she depended on him for Malik's sake,he did everything he could to break her but she didn't give up.She didn't give in,she was strong and trying to be strong the whole time.Her standing up to RK after Padmini came after the 4phere marriage was what if not SELF-RESPECT?When she said "We will see who will break,me or you!" What is that if not self-respect?If I love RK that doesn't mean I'm a mazohist who loooves RK no matter what he does!I hated RK in those times and in the betrayal times and couldn't wait for him to regret it and I also wanted Madhu to take revenge and show him how it feels when someone breaks you!So,you are wrong,I DID want the revenge!
Madhu had self respect all the time.She forgave him because he changed.He started respecting her.At first he was only afraid that he would lose her for Sultan,but then in the two scenes I really love Madhu told him(and I loved everything she told him)"You keep saying "Your mine you're mine,like I'm kind of property of yours!What does that mean?" and when she wanted to leave(and left) the RK mansion everything she said was right and true!She acted out all this(yes 'cause she wanted the revenge)but that doesn't mean that she was wrong,she was right with everything she said!He didn't respect her at all,he was afraid that he will lose her to Sultan.But after those events,RK changed.Maybe we didn't see enough of those moments,I would really like to see RK trying to be nice to Sultan only because of Madhubala.Because when you respect someone,you do things for him.But we did see that he put away his pride and asked her to marry him in front of everyone,he built her the little house they dreamed of,he tried to do things for her.I agree,the damage he had done was too great and if I was in Madhu's place I don't know if I could forgive him at all or at least I know that I couldn't believe him anymore,I would probably think that he wants to deceive me again.But she forgave him.That doesn't mean that she is weak or she doesn't have self respect.To forgive doesn't make you weak,it makes you strongest person alive!The hardest thing to do in life is to forgive!The easiest is to hate and not forgive,anyone can do that!But Madhu isn't anyone!And this doesn't mean that I approve and I think that if someone goes through something like this in real life that all should be forgiven and endured,I don't approve that anyone should endure any kind of torture in marriages!This is a unique story and shouldn't be taken as an example for every marriage.
But so that you know,if RK didn't change,if he didn't realize his mistake,if he hadn't changed his attitude little bit,I wouldn't approve Madhu forgiving him!But you have to realize too that if she took the revenge,the circle of hate and revenge would continue forever and what's the point?All the time hurt,hate,revenge,hurt,hate,revenge!
Anyhow I want you to know my point of view.From MY point of view,what RK did with the betrayal is beyond forgiveness,I don't know who can be strong enough to forgive that.In this serial Madhu is obviously strong enough although she had her times,her inner fights,what to do,to ruin him like he did that to her or not...But she chose to forgive him.She gave him another chance.If he had blown it,she wouldn't give him another one,I'm sure,no one would!
