Today when shlok heard aditi asking astha about they story and astha telling her he got very angry on Astha . He 's fears that astha will tell the thruth like always so he tells her not reveal anything and by calling her a liar.
He indirectly tells her to use her mind as she does lie for somethig good.Here its for the safety of their own relationship so thats others won't take advantage of it and create problems for them.
shlok doesn't trust aditi. He is suspicious of her ill health too.He wants astha to be careful now as astha takes people on face value. But today astha dealed the situation cleverly and tells shlok so.
shlok's taunts her being mahaan as she gives more importance to others rather than their relation which to him comes first.shloks angst against astha is her not giving priority to him and their personal relationship and that she made a lie of all the promises that she gave him before marriage(reminds him of swati betrayal maybe).Thats why he withheld his love and himself from her in the mask of hate and always reminds her that he will show her where she belongs and thats with him as his wife and lover first.He wants her to realise it by herself and take her rights even if she has to fight for it like she did with his shawl (meaning his love,)which he gave to her in the end.
so in near future astha may have to fight for his love instead of sacrificing it to someone else and will get it too.
looks like aditi is in someway related to swati and thats why shlok Felt a similarity and went on a alert.He will be on his guard from now on will look out for Astha too protecting her.
