It is late at night and Naren is finding it difficult to sleep without Ahana .He holds her picture and talks to her .He tells the picture that he cannot call her inside his room because of what she had done .She has accused Raunak who is Naren's baby brother and Attu has told Naren to choose between his wife and his family .Naren says that he is confused as he does not know what to do .He tries to sleep but cannot .
Ankita wakes up in the middle of the night screams out Naren's name as she has this bad feeling that Naren needs her .She goes up to his room and stands outside as the door is locked .
Both Naren and Ankita are on each side of the door , crying and feeling helpless ...
Next morning , at the breakfast table , Shekhar , Sunanda and Shirish are discussing the case .Shekhar tells them that this is an open and shut case and they will surely win . Kinnri is also there listening to this .Ankita brings breakfast but she is told by Sunanda that the family does not accepts her as a daughter in law so she should only limit her seva to Naren .
Naren too comes but he totally ignore Ankita and the breakfast that she made for him .He sits next to Shekhar , away from Ankita. When Ankita tries to give him Lauki ki sabzi he tells Attu that he is not crazy to eat Lauki for breakfast . Attu and Kinnri are really enjoying the way he is insulting his wife .
Ankita decides to leave the room but Shekhar stops her .
He tells her that he would like to discuss something with her about the case . Sunanda tells him not to talk about the case with Ankita but he says that after all Mansi is Naren's sister in law and he should fore warn Mansi that today will be a tough day for her in court as Shekhar ( as Raunak's lawyer ) will go hard on her .
He tells Ankita that he would like to talk to Mansi .Ankita gives him her phone .Shekhar calls Mansi .She gets scared when she hears his voice .Shekhar in a very calm tone tells her that he is going to question her today and it is not going to be easy for her to get through all this grilling by the defence lawyer .
He tells Mansi that he firmly believes that Raunak is innocent and is being framed by her and her family . Shashank and Prashant are also listening to this conversation .
He tells Mansi that the only reason why he is alerting Mansi is because she is Naren's sister in law .
Shekhar puts the phone down and tells Ankita politely that because she does not respects her relationships , he too will not respect his relationship with her ( as Naren's wife ) .He says that Mansi was raped but it was not Raunak who did this .
The court hearing starts .
Mansi is asked to come in the witness box .Shekhar wants Mansi to explain the situation at the night of her sangeet .An extremely nervous Mansi tells Shekhar how she got a call from Ankita's cell and she went all alone on the terrrace but instead of her sister , it was Raunak who was waiting for her there . Shekhar wants her to identify the rapist but he wants to have the same surroundings as was there at that night .
He tells the court room lights to be switched off as the terrace also did not have any lights .
Fours guys come near Mansi ( they are looking like dark shadows because of the darkness and then Mansi is told to identify the rapist amongst them .
Mansi is terrified like anything and psychologically traumatised . She ends up identifying the wrong person ...
When the lights are turned on again, Mansi gets horrified to see that she made a wrong identification .Shekhar starts yelling as to how wrong Mansi is in her accusations ..A big smile in on Sunanda and Kinnri's face as they victoriously look at each .
Shekhar futher substantiates this claim by telling the court that Mansi has a weak vision , since last one year , and the only reason why she was not wearing glasses was because she could not afford them . Mansi tries telling him that her vision was not that weak but Shekhar dismisses her claims ..
The prosecuter tries to intervene but the Judge overrules her .
Ankita looks helplessly at her sister .
Mansi's case has become weaker as she did not report the rape immediately and could not provide any medical evidence against Raunak
Shekhar then shows the CCTV footage of the Royal Palace Hotel where Kinnri and Raunak checked in for their wedding night .The footage clearly shows Raunak with his wife when he checked in and next morning when he checked out ...there was no other sign of Raunak sneaking out of the hotel ( obviously because he had gone through the back balcony through the garden and not the main entrance .)
Shekhar requests the Judge to grrant Raunak bail as it is pretty evident to court that he did not do the crime .She khar says that Raunak should not be treated like a criminal and his family's name should not be tarnished anymore .
The Judge grants Raunak bail and gives two more days for the final hearing .
Kinnri and Sunanda are besides themselves with this . They are smiling and already clelbrating their victory .Ankita is looking very upset .Naren tells her that she should not have filed this case as Raunak is Naren's brother and could have never done anything like this .
Mansi comes to Ankita and she breaks down crying in her sister's arms ...Naren , though feeling bad for Mansi , just looks at them .He wants to console Mansi but then he looks at his family and pulls his hand away .
Outside the court , the media is reporting how the Karmarkars have almost won the case .Thy are talking about Ankita and Mansi as if these two girls are the worst examples of gold diggers who would do anything to frame rich families only to get money out of them . Mansi comes out with her family .Ankita is holding her sister's hand .Mansi syas that she should not have filed this case because as expected , they will loose and now all her siblings will have to face taunts and what not from everyone ...
Ankita ssures her that they will not loose and will win the case .
Shekhar is listening to them .He is amused that Ankita still feels confident .He offers Ankita to drop the case and save herself from more badnaami but Ankita ignores him
At the Karmarkar house .
There is activity and celebration going on because of Raunak's coming back .Sunanda is making sure all his favourite dishes are made and his room is all done up ..
Ankita also walks in the house .
After she walks in , Shirish and Naren bring Raunak. They both are looking extremely happy and have their arms around him . Naren happily announces , ' look who is back ", to his Attu ...
Sunanda stops Ankita and says that as she is Raunak's wahini, she will do his aarti pooja to welcome him back to his home .
She says that Raunak has been though a bad time because some one who is clearly a Liar ( meaning Ankita and Mansi ) had accused him of the crime he did not do .She orders Ankita to do aarti of Raunak ..
Precap : Raunak is cutting his birthday cake .His family is arround him .Ankita comes to him with a big smile . Shakes his hand and wishes him .
Naren says that Ankita is good but sometimes she can be wrong and she too is happy for Raunak now .
