We've been shown in past episodes thay Sumer and Rudra were in the same class as children. So it's implied they are the same age? So does that make Samrat older than both Sumer and Rudra? Does that make him the eldest amongst the cousins?

Yes Samrat is the eldest cousin...but Rudra is the eldest (only) son of the eldest son...so he's the actual heir...to the haveli, to the heirlooms...and property if they have any...and only Rudra can be called Kunwar Sa...as laila called him a few times...and his Kaka called him that too.

Kunwar is a title for a prince in rajasthan...but they might use it nowadays to describe a persons noble visage or princely appearances. ...
and who knows Rudra's family just might be of royal descent, their ancestors lost their raj just like thakur's...but were more accepting of the new laws...

Aww..

I had thought both Sumer and Samrat were younger than Rudra

But you are right - Sumer was in the same class as Rudra, so Samrat is older than Rudra

Interesting to know 😛
