I will change this industry'

24 Feb 2014

Medha Shri Dahiya

Yes, the film industry is changing. If it doesn't, I'll bl**dy change it!!
Sonam Kapoor, actor

Actor Sonam Kapoor seems to be on a mission to change how the society and film industry perceive women. "I try to be as responsible as I can be, while entertaining the audience. I realise that what I say, or project myself as, impacts a lot of fans and followers. A lot of films tend to project women in stupid light and are degrading. I try and make responsible choices," she says. She does acknowledge, however, that the industry is changing. "Yes, it is changing. But if it's not, I'll bl**dy change it! I'll sign the right films. All of us, Deepika (Padukone), Sonakshi (Sinha) and I have the duty to take up films that can change perceptions." The 28-year-old actor, who has done films like Saawariya and Thank You, confesses, "In the beginning of my career, I may have not made a few responsible choices, but I was barely 20 then, just starting out. Now, I want to be a better actor with every film. I don't want to be the biggest superstar, but I want my work to go down in posterity. I want to be a better person, friend, sister, daughter and girlfriend. I want to be good at my job. I work hard for my career's longevity." Sonam, who will now be seen in Bewkoofiyan, alongside actor Ayushman Khurrana, says, "My upcoming film is about recession and how it impacts peoples' lives."

Nice interview
I really feel deepika sonakshi sonam priyanka Kareena vidya katrina anushka can change this industry if they make right choices.

Although my favs are deepika Kareena priyanka but I want all of them to do good because it's good for the industry and viewers.

I am not big fan of katrina but I was very disappointed with her role in dhoom. I hope she and sonakshi stop doing flowerpot roles. Sonakshi is brilliant actress and we all saw that in lootera. Hopefully she will do movies like lootera. Katrina is not really good actress but if she pulls herself a bit then she can be a great actress and can't believe that I am saying this. As I bashed her a lot but I feels she can do better than What she's doing,

Kareena needs to chose movies wisely. She's a fabulous actress but her script sense is pathetic. I am even dissapointed with priyanka script choice but hopefully she would do better.

Deepika is making great script choices, hopefully she will continue to.

Best of luck to all of them

That's all nice. No more bikini scenes please. That's not sexy at all when you are too skinny. ;)

Honestly, it's only Vidya and PC who started the trend. Rest of them are just en-cashing on it.
When masala films work, then all of them run over and do those and talk about how they only like to entertain the audience.
Then when better movies start working, that's when they all start talking about wanting to do substantial roles only. But then again, they want us to think that they feel a responsibility towards audience for giving them good movies. ghanta!

It is basically just about what is working with the audience at a particular time. They just want to be accepted, become successful and earn money. Rest all the comments are drama.
