Arjun Punjj seems to have vanished into thin air! The actor, who till recently was seen in 'Saathii Re', was last in the news for having refused the sequel to 'Sanjeevani', the show that gave him fame and his wife, actor Gurdip Kohli.

"Well, at the moment, I'm chilling out with my family in Delhi. I have not vanished! After I quit 'Saathii Re', Gurdip and I decided to take a break from the Mumbai scene, where it gets very monotonous to keep attending social dos," says Arjun from Delhi.

Arjun shocked the junta when he decided to quit the serial abruptly. He explains saying, "I was truly kicked about the role of Aman Khanna in 'Saathii Re' when it was narrated to me. But after we started shooting, I realised that the track was going haywire. Also, contrary to being promised that it would be primarily an outdoor shoot, the shooting was mostly being done in the studios, which got too much for me to handle. I'm not blaming producer Sunjoy Wadhwa. He's a great guy and I'd love to work with him again. But I couldn't continue under these circumstances and so decided to quit amicably."

About refusing 'Sanjeevani' he says, "I'd have loved to do 'Sanjeevani' again but in the earlier part my character was shown to be dead. So I figured that this part wouldn't have much for me to do, unless they resurrected my character with a twist. This to the best of my knowledge was not happening. I'm grateful to 'Sanjeevani' for giving me all that I have today, but one has to move on."

Apparently, Arjun is looking towards making a mark in Bollywood. Is that also reason enough to stay away from television? "I won't deny that Bollywood is my next destination but I have not quit TV at all. Given a good offer, I am certainly open to doing TV shows," says Arjun. "I'd love to do something with Gurdip again but no more reality shows ('Nach Baliye 2') for us please! It's great money, great exposure but it's truly a pain!" says Arjun as he signs off.
