She was in pain coz of him. He was the reason behind her misery and he knew it well. Never the thought had occurred that his playful attitude could leave her deserted even in crowd.
I am sure this scene and episode must have been discussed already but I had missed the wedding episodes and never thought they could be so beautiful and mesmerizing. This episode or rather the shot of ZaYa cannot be put into words or rather I'm not capable enough to put in. It touched the deepest part of my heart. Aaliya venting out her heart out, probably a place where she was heard. Zain was concerned seeing a weeping Aaliya who had always been strong, strong enough to face anything but today she was shattered not because her alliance was called off but because what humiliation it brought to her parents and family and Zain being responsible for it. The shock of getting the news of her broken alliance was immediately followed by a glint of surprise where he was seeing a girl whose groom left her on the day of marriage but she is worried for her family and regrets being reason of their insult. And finally she was broken down completely, he had for the first time seen a weak Aaliya and he was the person behind in weakening of her.
He wanted to comfort her, console her and tell that all would be fine soon and he's ashamed over his act but it never brought any thoughts that his pranks can have adverse consequences but what would he say. All done cannot be reversed and need of moment is pacifying the girl in front who is in search of some support.
He pulled her into warmth of his arms. He felt only some warmth could ease her pain off for some while if not take them away. She was crying and he wanted her to stop crying. He was apologizing but was it of any good? No, damage done could not be repaired and he just limited to shushing her off.
Beautifully acted, directed and written. The sensitivity of Zain that we all search now was there before but it was again the guilt within which got replaced by the hatred on being betrayed by the person he had trust would understand and let him go free.
Preetika was so good here, she fumbled for few seconds but her outburst was wow. She showed her anger, pain and disgust just beautifully. But it was Harshad who stole the scene. He had very few dialogues in the scene but the way he emoted was fab. The voice modulation while saying sorry to Aaliya and the immediate transformation from one of his wicked moods to the tender and sensitive one showing maturity was very smooth. And then chemistry between the two, damn do I need to say even a word about it. Whenever they are in screen, magic just floats from everywhere. Both of the actors are here to stay and God willing will go miles ahead
