@red : very very true! I am yet to see a single review written over the whole show where she wasn't praised so profusely, every review has been stellar and no other character nor portrayal of that character of this show was appreciated as much as Paro and Sanaya's portrayal of Paro! Subtle nuances.. she has pushed herself beyond measure, far far more than she ever did with Khushi here. And it has been unanimously accepted and appreciated by every critic who did reviews and she was lauded for her talent!

I don't want to go into details into roles...however the fact is the trend is to create a male character who is damaged and a woman's character to actually fix him...anyways that is a whole different discussion.
I started watching RR only for Sanaya and I am still giving it time in-spite of the regressive material just because of Sanaya. Saying that Sanaya is an intelligent woman and I am sure she was aware of Paro's character...I guess it's up-to her to decide what she wants in a role.
You guys didn't get my point. I didn't meant that Paro needs to be chivalrous. That is one side of the portrayal of her character. What I meant is, the cvs are not showing different aspect of her emotions and feelings or sensibility. As an example, Tejawat completely denied her acquaintance. i think in this situation they could show some of her thoughts, her doubts.she should give some benefit of doubt to tejawat instead blindly supporting him. They are showing Rudra's trauma, his quandary more. but Paro is also a distraught soul. her parents was murdered by BSD, her one best friend Bindi was abducted on her wedding day, her husband whom she loved also killed by Rudra, her whole community denied to accept her. So her pain is lot more than Rudra. they should show her pain, her turbulence more. or they can also some snippet of her past. I guess I could make you guys understand my point.

Hm...I do agree in that often Paro's feelings on broader subjects are lacking. But I'd also argue that her development has been shown. The Tejawat thing, it makes sense to me that she is not saying anything, because she grew up with the Thakurain. The thakurian was like another mother to Paro, she grew up with her, learned from her, trusts in her completely. And this affection for the thakurian also extends to the thakur, Tejawat and he is her husband. And generally, you'd never suspect that such a nice woman can have such a monster for a man. And remember, Tejawat is super respected. He comes across as the good guy. Hell if after so many years together in close proximity, only now is the thakurian having trust issues regarding Tejawat, then how can we expect Paro to have trust issues as she doesn't even know the thakur in close proximity. She only knows if from far away and she knows that he's a good man. I think it speaks of the intense loyalty she posses, that she refuses to talk ill of the thakur. That in itself is a huge trait in Paro I believe, one she shares with Rudra. And regarding her parents. I think she is in a better place than Rudra in that aspect. Paro was raised by a loving family and loving thakurian. Yes she felt her parents absence, but she had tons of love that also in a way substituted. She learned to accept that fact and face her future, secure. Rudra on the other hand, his father gave him such a shaky and rough upbringing, never letting him forget the fact that his mother left him. And on top of that, his mamisa contributed to spewing poison within Rudra. He is damaged in that sense much more than Paro. And regarding the community. Yes they disregarded her. But despite that, she continues to protect them all. The only reason she hasn't run away from Rudra is because he has threatened to kill her entire village. And she refuses to let everyone be harmed for something they haven't done. Instead, she'll suffer in their place. I think that also speaks volumes about her. She's very self-sacrificing and will always protect those she loves. And regarding her husband, she does feel its pain. Did you not see how she became physical with Rudra when he agreed to the marriage. She definitely feels the pain. But she's in a precarious situation. If she shows weakness, you can sure that Rudra will take advantage of it and exploit her.I think Paro's been shown to be a very determined and strong woman. Her development may not be remarked upon as often as Rudra's is, but she is definitely developing.Yeah I do think that there needs to be more monologues showing her feelings on her past. But I also understand why she's shown to be focused more on present events, because those events are more important than present ones, especially in her current situation. At the end of the day, she's a hostage. No matter how much the family is nice to her, or even Rudra is nice to her, she's still a captive and hence she needs to behave cautiously.
