Kratika Sengar, the enchanting actress who ruled the hearts of her fans as the strong-willed Rani Lakshmibai in Zee TV's Jhansi Ki Rani and as Aarti in Punar Vivah, is known for her versatility and style of acting.

In a tete-a-tete with Tellychakkar.com, the talented actress shares some health and fitness tips for our Lifestyle segment.

Personal fitness mantra?

I start my day by having avla and a glass of lukewarm water.

Personal diet mantra?

I make sure that I eat something healthy every 2 to 3 hours.

Are you a foodie?

I am not a foodie, but have got a sweet tooth.

Exercise routine?

When I am shooting, I cannot really do much of an exercise. Hence, I go on for a brisk walk for 30 minutes. However if I am not shooting I make sure that I schedule my gym timings and play sports such as basketball, swimming and squash.

Are you a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian?

I am a strict non-vegetarian but am very choosy in what I eat. I generally eat only chicken and fish among the non-vegetarian foods. I recently tried mutton.

Favourite cuisine?

My favourite is Indian cuisine as nothing else beats Indian food. But then when I visit a restaurant I like having Italian food as I always eat Indian food at home.

Favourite dish?

My favourite dish is homemade dal and rice. I also like eating Risotto amongst the Italian dishes.

A must on your breakfast table?

Coconut water is a must on my breakfast table.

Sugar or sugar-free tea/coffee?

I do not consume either tea or coffee but if I happen to, would like add two tea spoons of sugar. It is said that if one does not consume much sugar throughout the day, at least 2 teaspoons is essential for the body.

Lunch generally consists of?

My lunch generally consists of salad, dal, vegetable and chapattis.

Dinner generally consists of?

Normally I skip dinner but if I happen to have dinner, I have something light like soups and salads.

Dessert delights?

I am not very fond of Indian sweets and mithai but I do drool over yogurts and chocolates.

My favourite drink (non-alcoholic)?

I drink only Mosambi juice.

My favourite drink (alcoholic)?

I do not drink at all.

Most unusual dish I have tasted?

When I was in Mauritius, I had this biryani which had a mix of prawns and lobsters. I found it weird and my friends had a blast making fun of me as I could not figure out the difference between the prawns and the lobsters. Also, I tasted a Gujarati dish named dal dhokli; was confused if that was the same as the Gujarati and North Indian snack khamand and dhokla.

Experiment with food?

I don't really experiment with food.

On the streets I love to have?

I have nothing at all.

Do you cook?

I rarely cook. I think I do that once or twice a year.

Fitness tip?

I would like to advise people to drink lots of water during the day.
