Me!
~Edit~

Pardon me for this rather unpardonable delay in unres-ing, Jenny. AD was a bit much this last week :)

When you write about the mundane and the routine in a family with this zing of Jenny-ness, it transforms into something so special and delightful! The conversation between daughter and daddy, the mother chiding the father for always taking his child's side, the small laughter and joys shared in a simple home - the simple rendered extraordinary by the virtue of being written in your words.

And may I say I already feel for Aman - I am one who always has a thing for the underdog. It seems he is as genuine as they get - I hope he finds the love of his life who loves him back with equal passion - and that, from the looks of it, isn't Khushi

Looking forward to more, Jenny. (Will read chapter 2 later tonight - right now I am on an unres-ing spree :P )

Thanks Sami 😛

~Unres~

Prologue:
The medicine profession goes so very well with Khushi's character, sweet and nurturing! No wonder all the staff likes her! 😉 Loved the ambienece you set in the small Ohio town..her world seems perfect for now. Perfect job, doting parents and a baby sister who could as well be her friend..

And I loved the the guy tailgating her and his raising eyebrow for being stared at 😆
He gave me goosebumps when he sped to the ramp to I-75..I thought the medical training in US teaches patience only because it is never ending 😆

So Khushi has been introduced to Aman by her parents and the day she bumps into Arnav was her D-day. Loved father-daughter convo and how he tries to ease her fears. But then she receives the letter from Doctors without Borders (I love what they do) and decides to head to the place where Arnav's ancestral home is!! If this is not Fate then what else 😳

Hmm Arnav is an Ophthalmologist..loved the thoughts of those girls woking around him in the OT. Arnav's charms!! 😉
But then the will from his grandmother tells us he had a treacherous past?

Chapter 1:
I seem to be interested in small details and couldn't figure out who was driving the van to the aitport 😆 Must be Khushi or her sister!!

Finally Khushi's dad was able to convince her mom to let her go but I would be honest, I would be in the same position as Sujata!! All worked up!! We got a glimpse of Navin's parents and he seems to have had a lovely childhood groing up and yes that guilt he has I can very well connect myself to.

Aman is such a perfect gentleman. Apart from confessing, he very well figured out Khushi's feelings towards him and gave her space. Their dinner date was awkward but in the end Khushi borrowing time it worked out well. Yes he deserves a girl who will love him more than he and Khushi is not that girl.

I never imagined just like Khushi what would be waiting for her just before boarding the flight!! And again its her who recognised him and he seems to have engrossed in the book!! Will he or won't he.. recognise her? Cant wait to find out 😉

Thanks for the lovely update(s). Pleeas update soon (this will be my mantra here onwards). 😉

Cheers
K

Being one of those who is very close to her father...I particularly enjoyed Khushi's conversation with her dad. It showed a father's concern and a daughter's need to evolve while at the same time makes an love effort to not hurt her parents.

I read somewhere that if a guy is sure about his love for a girl, he should make sure to not merely play the friend card for too long...coz he is sure to lose the girl. Aman clearly is Khushi's friend and not anything more. And if Aman thinks she is going to realise her love dramatically, he is mistaken. Because the chemistry between a guy and girl is such. Either its there or its not there.

Loving Arnav and Khushi's coincidental mysterious meetings. Its as if they are destined together. Yes, they are :)

You have decided to really take on a journey to find love filled sprinkled all the way with poetry and lyrics aren't you? Mirza Ghalib, Rumi, Yash Chopra... no less. Good one Jen :)

Jenny!! So it begins - the little tale, the little clashes of one destiny against the other until they finally merge - what else do you call these happy little coincidences!! I feel super excited already. Bring on the heaven on earth - what better backdrop for a love story than the earth that breeds heartache and beauty, love and helpless vulnerability??

Quick pointer for Aman - me thinks he expects too much but personally I feel more sorry for him - either he is unrealistically optimistic - or he is in severe denial of something he probably knows deep down...either way - that can't be a fun way to live!

Keep them coming. Saffron Fields beckon!

Trust you Jen, to have a Khushi who works for Medecins sans Frontieres.
I know people here who do so and think the world of these doctors who leave behind family and friends to go and work selflessly in troubled and strife ridden places.
Her parents reaction was typically natural as no parent wants their child to go in a war zone.
And the valley of Kashmir, in spite of efforts made to provide security, is still not a very safe place.
Loved this Aman.
He is willing to wait for Khushi's return from Kashmir, but a lot of things can happen in three months.
She might fall in love!
The person coming to pick up Khushi and provide her accomodation during her stay in Kashmir has to be Arnav's Nani! I hope so.
Waiting for the next update now.

A great start. Its not easy to leave everything thats familiar to you behind ...as a die-hard Star trek fan, Khushi is."boldly going where no (wo)man has gone before". Navin and Sujata's fears are justified as parents find it hard to let go of their daughter at any point and here Khushi is going halfway across the world. Aman is such a sweetheart that I can't imagine any girl wanting to break his heart. But Dr. Arnav is just too much of a potent force to reckon with. The flight to India promises to be a turbulent one.😊
