Why is AD a caricature?

I'm not getting this. Ronit Roy is a pretty versatile and experienced actor Why are the creatives making him into a caricature, after all the characterisation has potential for being emoted explosively. But they've given him these wierd, OTT dialogues and it's just seeming very jarring. I know he's meant to have an ego the size of a football field but so did RR as Rishabh Bajaj, and RK as Jai Walia. Balaji etched out those characters so well. Why are they slipping up here?

Somali

This is not an anti RR post, just perplexed about talent being wasted.

Hey there Smitra..

Well ,
Rishabh too had a huge ego but he was calm, composed and extremely subtle... I think the reason why all of us (except the AD fans) are finding it difficult to accept AD is because there's never been anyone like him before..
RB, JW are all precedents and maybe people are just too stuck with watching RR as the strong and silent types.. wheras here he's totally opposite of Rishabh Bajaj .. and he's doing a great job!

Wait for a few more epis- you will get to know what I mean ..

Cheers!

You said it Sukhi dear. RR is doing a great job in protraying the over the top egomaniac AD. Hes not supposed to be another Rishab Bjaaj.😃

Bajaaj was supposed to be older then him and AD is a much younger character and more evil.😉

And love RR protrayal of AD alot, hes doin a fantasti job.👏

Absolutely..
RR has set a precedent as Rishabh Bajaj and I think it's wrong if people try to see AD as some weird extension of Rishabh Bajaj.. simply because he isnt !
AD is a different entity altogether..and you also mentioned the age factor correctly..

AD is brash and cocky .. AD is a bit immature
But Rishabh was subtle and composed - anytime more mature than AD
