Senses within her tingled the minute she stepped forth in to the apartment. Air surrounding the area seemed different. Excitement filled at the pit of her stomach, especially at the thought of what might be to come. She gazed upon the low lit room, scented full of strawberry candles, glowing in the darkness, welcoming her with warmth, and serenity. Rose petals laid all across the floor, almost tinting the white tiles with red. A tiny smile graced her face at the sight before her. The room was decorated with such simplicity, but the thought of it all been done for her, made her stomach twitch with nervousness. Sometimes she wondered whether this was all a dream. How could it be that she was blessed with such a miracle. A miracle she could call her own.
Frozen on the spot, she continued to roam her eyes around the scene. Sudden thoughts struck her mind, when she realized the person responsible for this surprise wasn't in sight. Where was he? Why hasn't he shown up yet? She took a step forward, determined to go find him, but alas, she felt the touch of two strong arms wrap around her waist. Electric shocks struck at his mere touch, making her yelp in surprise.
Warm lips graced her ear. 'Looking for me?' Shuddering with delight, she nodded her head, her eyes closed at sensations he evoked. His arms unwrapped around her for a second. Disappointment settled at the pit of her stomach at the thought of him letting her go, but her disappointment was short lived, as he turned her around to face him for the first time that evening.
Brown orbs twinkled before her, his lips widened with a smirk, almost teasing her. Blood rushed to her cheeks at his heated gaze. His thumb stroked her cheeks, and she looked up at him, full of innocence. 'Arnav...? What is all this?' She asked, her voice coming out in a whisper. It almost echoed around the apartment. Smirk never faltering, nor his thumb never stopping to stroke her cheeks- he replied. 'This is your welcoming gift of course. What do you think? You like it?'
She cupped his face with utmost care. 'I love it... Thank you.. It's absolutely beautiful.' Gathering her hands in his, he leaned forward, and placed a sweet, but long kiss on her forehead. Lips still in place, he whispered. 'There's more, angel. First we have to get you relaxed. What do you say? I know you're tired, especially after a long day at work.'
Could anyone ever burst with emotions? Because right at this second she felt her heart beating outrageously with feelings. So much love and care from him. Whatever she has done in her past life, must have been unbelievable amazing, because she never thought a man could be this caring, with utter respect. 'I am.. what do you have in mind, Mr. Razaida?' She teased, gaining another smile from him.
Winking, he glided down her bag to the floor. He did it with such care she almost trembled at his touch. Only he could do such a simple gesture and make her beg for mercy. Licking her dry lips, trying her best to stop them from quivering, she caught his gaze. His heated focus never leaving her, his arms wrapped around her shoulders, and he began to guide her towards the hall way.
They came to a stop in front of their bathroom. The quake within her body did not stop shaking. What was her husband up to? Opening the door, he led her inside, and her eyes widened at the sight. Water was filled in their deep, white bath tub, and in the tub were thousands of rose petals, floating around. Around the tub, more red candles were lit, diffusing its strawberry scents all across the atmosphere. 'Arnav? What is this?', she turned to him, surprise etched on her face. Gently he smiled, 'I thought a good bath would do the trick. What do you say? Do you like it?'
'Arnav.. you..' Honestly, she did not know what to say. He did this every single time. Surprising her with such small gestures, which made her heart soar. The love for this man increased every second. No man on this earth has ever taken the time to fulfil her needs. There was never selfish demands from him. Whatever he did, he always made sure she was happy. Cupping his face, she leaned forward and placed a kiss on cheek. 'You're amazing.'
'I am, aren't I?' he teased, making her chuckle. 'Alright, angel. It's time for you to get in don't ya think', he winked, causing her to blush once more. Tenderly his fingers graced her arms, erupting goose bumps all across her arms, and body. Swiftly, but carefully, he took off her black t-shirt. Cold wind hit her body immediately causing her to shiver slightly. Although at that time she wasn't sure if it was the cold air, or it was the presence of her beautiful husband. Scorching her with his heated gaze, his skillful hands unzipped her black and white skirt, pulling it down to the floor.
Clothes pooled to the floor, along with her under garments. There she stood stark naked right in front of her husband. Suddenly, without any warning he carried her, shocking her once more. 'Arnav?! What are you doing?', she asked, quietly, yet a bit of panic in her voice. He simply replied with only a smile, and gently laid her inside the tub. Warm water engulfed her, along with the roses settling on top of her. 'Relax, Khushi. Then come later for dinner, okay?' Laying another soft kiss on her forehead, he departed the bathroom, closing the door behind.

An hour later she got out of the warm water completely relaxed. Wrapping her fluffy bathrobe around her, she went in search of her husband who was probably waiting for her. Instincts and mostly the sound of spoons cluttering, told her she'd find him in the kitchen. Standing at the entrance she took in his appearance. Black sweat pants hung loosely around his waist, his cream t-shirt, nicely fitted on his muscular body; tingles traveled faster than lightening to her body. She watched him a bit closely and she realized he was decorating a dish. Brows scrunched together with pure frustration. She almost let out a loud laugh. He looked so adorable.
Clearing her throat, she decided it was time to gain his attention. 'Um, Arnav?' He jumped at her voice, and turned around in a flash. 'Whoa, Jaan. You're already done?' She nodded. 'Yeah, it's been an hour actually. It was amazing Arnav. Thank you.'
Walking over, he laid another kiss on her forehead. 'Good, now time for dinner.' He turned her around to see the dining table. The sight before her made her gasp with shock. Red candles were lit up, and an entire buffet was set. All kinds of different Italian foods- her favourite. 'Arnav, you- I...'
Cutting her stutter off, he made her sit down. 'Okay Miss. Stutter, how about we eat, yeah? And don't worry I got help from the internet to make these meals. Although some were ordered... I just-'
'Arnav?' This time she cut him off with a smile. 'I love it. It's amazing. I don't care how you got this done or whether you didn't make the food or not. I am just glad I get to spend my time with you.'
Twinkling brown orbs met her own once more. As usual she blushed under his gaze. And they began their feast, conversation of all sorts exchanging between them. Laughter echoing across the entire apartment as they spoke about everything, and anything.

Later that night she was seated on his lap, on their couch, her head resting against his chest, enjoying the serene peace. 'Did you enjoy your dinner, angel?' Quiet whispers brushed against her hair. 'I did Arnav. You didn't have to do all this, but I loved every minute of it.'
'Good. That's all I want to hear. And Khushi?'
'Yes, Arnav?'
He tilted her face, placing a passionate kiss on her lips. She kissed him back equally, pouring all her love. 'I love you'.
'I love you too'
Some might do such gestures for an obligated day, but for her, it was everyday of her life. Snuggling closer to his arms they fell in to a peaceful slumber as the glow in their apartment dimmed in to a graceful end.
