It looks like Ranbir Kapoor is currently favouring Deepika Padukone over Katrina Kaif - but we're talking only about his professional life here, not his personal life! The current buzz in the industry is that RK has suggested Deepika's name as the female lead in his next film. This film will feature Ranbir playing a superhero, and is to be directed by his good friend, Ayan Mukerji.

However, while Ranbir looks like he's giving Deepika his vote, Ayan is keen on signing Katrina on for this film - maybe since Kat was Ayan's first choice for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani! Time alone will tell whose choice won over the other, although I have to wonder... didn't you rate Katrina over Deepika as the better actress on Koffee With Karan, Ranbir? Then why this sudden change of mind? :)

Q. Katrina Kaif was your first choice for the film, right?

The truth is that I first approached Deepika Padukone. I'd met her for dinner and told her I was writing a film and that she'd be apt for the role. But yes, there was a time after that when I was interested in Katrina. I saw something in her. There were several other actresses we met too. All of them are my friends. So I discussed my film with a bunch of women. The stars were shinning on me when Deepika agreed because of all the people in the film, her contribution and commitment was the deepest. She holds her own against Ranbir. People fell in love with Shah Rukh Khan in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge because of Kajol, because of the way she falls in love with him. It's the same with Ranbir. You love him because of Deepika.

They are already going to do WS, again why another movie with deepika. Take alia that will be a fresh pair and great start for new rumors...😉
