Not funny!

Ahsaan Qureshi may have made the nation laugh with his jokes on The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, but his annoying remarks about the cast of Paritossh Painter's play See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil 2 have put them off completely. Paritossh and his troupe were at a function recently at Udaipur to perform their play while Ahsaan Qureshi and the other finalists of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Raju Shrivastav and Bhagwant Mann were also there to present an item or two.

After the cast finished their performance, Ahsaan took over the stage for his performance. Allegedly, he opened his performance by saying something like, 'Har bade aadmi ko introduce karne se pehle choti-mote vigyapan chalaye jaate hain. Abhi aapne yeh vigyapan dekha, ab mujhe dekhiye…' (Before introducing every big personality, they play small inconsequential advertisements. You just saw one such advertisement, now watch me…).

This has not gone down too well with the cast comprising Ashiesh Roy, Ravi Gosain, Dipsshikha, Bhairavi Goswami, Jayesh Thakker and Balwinder Singh Suri.

Ashiesh says, "To say that we were stunned by Ahsaan's words would be an understatement! And to think that as we were exiting after our performance, he was actually standing backstage congratulating each of us! It was in such

poor taste and reflects sadly on his double standards. I actually told him that I'm a huge fan of his. Well, Ahsaan lost at least one fan that night".

"We were back stage just catching a breather after our play, when we heard Ahsaan say derogatory things about us. This is certainly not what we expected especially when we treated him well. Poor fellow, he didn't even have a make-up room and we accommodated him with us. Moreover, the host of the evening (Perizad Kolah) requested me to introduce the stand-up comedians, I introduced all of them with such kind words," adds Ravi.

Producer Paritossh maintains, "Maybe Ahsaan didn't mean to insult us. He may have said that to boost his performance."

Ahsaan Qureshi was not available for comment.
