Part 16
Rishabh woke up the next morning and found himself sleeping on Madhu's lap while she laid on his back. He remembered the happenings of last night. And also remembered how Madhu had made him sleep all the while caressing his hair. A smile crept his lips even in so much pain. He stayed there as if to savour the moments as much as possible.
After some time Madhu woke up. She got shocked on seeing Rishabh in her lap. She remembered the last nights events and a pain filled her heart. She saw him on her lap sleeping innocently like a child. But that was what she thought. He was awake but was just lying on her lap both not to wake her up and feel her closeness.
She caressed his hair and Rishabh felt heaven all around him but he didnt move. He knew if he woke up Madhu would at once move away. Madhu on the other hand believed Rishabh to be purely innocent in this situation who was sleeping and doesnt know that he was on her lap. Madhu was admiring him and went ahead to kiss his forehead. Now that was a surprise to Rishabh. He felt a lightening run all through his spine. But then he decided to not move or show that he is awake thinking what Madhu might do further. He himself didnt know what else was he expecting from her..
To his disappointment Madhu had decided to get up. Shhe thought to get away from that position before Rishabh would wake up and feel awkward at that. Little did she know that he was wide awake waiting for her to continue with her sweet surprises. Madhu tried to move him away from her lap but he had other plans. He put his weight even more which made it difficult for her to lift his head. She felt an awkwardness as to why Rishabh's head felt so heavy but didnt get into thinking too much into it.
Rishabh on the other hand enjoyed her struggling to get out of his weight. He couldnt help but smile.
Madhu saw him smiling and the reality struck her. Her jaw dropped in surprise. She started hitting him. "Get up you foolish Kundru... Get up"
"Ammm... sone do na Madhu" And Rishabh snuggled even more into her lap.
Madhu was exasperated at that. And then she frowned at him."Mr. Rishabh Kundra... You are not on your pillow"
"Thats what Madhu... This is cozier than that" Rishabh said naughtily.
Madhu tied her arms at her chest and frowned at him. "Ohhh so you want to get cozy"
Rishabh pursed his lips to stop hinself from laughing while he shut hs eyes tightly. Suddenly he felt Madhu coming closer to him. His heart skipped a beat. He felt Madhu bend down to his face. He could feel her fragrance getting stronger while his breath became deeper and faster. He felt his heart beat in his chest loudly. Madhu came closer until her hair fell on his face. Rishabh now wasnt able to open his eyes in fear of breaking his beautiful dream.
Madhu felt a strange joy seeing Rishabh in that condition with a nervous look on his face with eyes clenched tightly. She smiled at his condition and was just about to melt when she decided against it. She opened her mouth which let her breath out on Rishabh's ear like a breeze.. Rishabh felt goosebumps all over his body but just then.
"AAA..AAA..AAA"
Rishabh jumped up from her lap with clenched face while rubbing his ear with his finger. "Ouuuch Malik... Is that the way to wake someone up..."
Madhu had screamed hard right in his ear. Her voice was shrilling.
"I was trying to make you COOOZZZYYY" Madhu replied naughtily.
Rishabh frowned at her. " You almost tore my eardrum woman. Oh my god... I cant hear from this ear... I will have to go to a doctor..."
"That you have to... but for your brains..." Madhu said as she got up and straightened her dress that was crampled by Rishabh's lying down. Rishabh saw it and started to smile again as he realised that he had been on that a few minutes back.
" See... Now you are smiling again..." She said without realising why he was smiling else she would have flushed with embarrassment.
"I remembered someone kissing my brains while I was asleep" Rishabh said with his naughty sexy smirk on his face.
Madhu blushed on that profusely. "Ohhh was it... Madhubaalaa... Ahaan" Rishabh tried to act as innocent as possible but his devilish eyes had another story to tell.
"Shut up RK" Madhu moved her eyes here and there not knowing where to look.
Just then they heard fast footsteps running throug the stairs. Both turned towards the door and found a little figure standing on the door.
"Hhhaaa... Rishaaabbbhhh" Srishti ran towards him and embraced him. Rishabh was overjoyed seeing her and held her back.
"When did you come Rishabh...?" Srishti looked at him enquiringly.
" ammm I came last night"
"But you didnt meet me?" Srishti conplained.
"I came to meet you but your maasi didnt let me come to you.." Rishabh tried to provoke her and tease Madhu further.
Srishti looked at her maasi narowing her eyes at her with anger. Madhu opened her mouth exasperated and didnt know what to say. she just shook her head at Srishti.
Rishabh decided to rescue hs damsel in distress. "Not her fault baby... you were asleep na... so maasi asked not to wake you up and wait for you to complete your beauty sleep and meet in the morning" Rishabh winked at Madhu who looked at him in anger.
Srishti nodded her head thoughtfully and smiled at her maasi. Madhu decided to go away before Rishabh attacked her once more. She went to freshen up.
Padmini entered the living room where she found rishabh playing with Srishti. He looked so sweet and innocent. Padmini's lips broke into a smile. She remembered the night before and Rishabh's condition at that time. Then the image of Rishabh sleeping on Madhu's lap and her sleeping on his back came to her mind. She had come to see them after some time thinking that they might have consoled each other by now but found the two sleeping peacefully over each other. She decided not to disturb them, she knew the two were mature and responsible individuals and know where they need to draw lines and hence she had went to sleep with Srishti. Though sleep was not kind to her at that time as the memories of her accident had freshened up. All the sorrows had come to the surface. Thinking of Rishabh's parents she felt a pain. She felt guilty that she didnt sought for Mohan and Radha ji, she didnt think of them much after what happened to Malik. Otherwise she would have known that they had died and Rishabh would have not been in this state all these years, searching for answers. He would have known those things and might have moved on by now.
"ohh... Good morning Padmini aunty" Rishabh said as he continued to play with Srishti.
"Ohh... yeah... Good morning Rishabh... What will you have for breakfast..."
" no need aunty... i will go now.."
"Rishabh.. thats bad... i didnt ask you that to make you run away... go and freshen up... i will make breakfast"
" no aunty its really okay..."
"Its not okay for me... you cant go like that and thats final" Padmini said stubbornly.
" who am I arguing with... now I know where Madhu got her dominating traits from"
Padmini laughed at him. "Okay Rishabh... now that you know its worthless arguing over it... you may go to the room upstairs to the left and freshen up..."
"Come on Srishti... Lets get ready for school" Padmini turns to Srishti...
"No Nani... How can I go to school... Rishabh is here" Srishti exclaims as if her nani couldnt see the obvious.
Padmini looked at her amazed while Rishabh bent down in front of her. "If you go to school I will come to pick you up after that... "
"REALLY..." Srishti cups her cheeks surprised.
"Yes " Rishabh pinches her nose.
"And then we will go to see Malik??" Srishti looked at him hopefully.
Rishabh was surprised at that and then smiled..."Yes we will go to see Malik uncle..."
Srishti hugged him and then ran to Padmini so that she could get ready for school.
Rishabh smiled at her and proceeded to the room that Padmini had told while Padmini went to Srishti to get her dressed for school.
I realised that the last few chapters were quite heavy so I thought to lighten up the mood both ours as well as Rishbala's
