This is true. But the thing I had a problem with was when he was mistreating her, he was helping Lavanya out and being all friendly with her. These two incidents were playing out at the same time. He was talking to Lavanya the very next day after Preeto's wedding. Khushi was crying wondering why he is so cruel to her only saying things like I don't want to see your face, throwing her out of the room and what not.

but the sheetal track even i felt something was off!! they were showing him too friendly!! but even then he did warn khushi when she asks sheetal to stay in their house, he showed that he really doesnt care for sheetal when he says why cant they stay in a hotel, its not necessary to invite them to stay in the house.
so i guess according to him, he is very clear that no one else matters in the world other than his di and khushi!!, he doesnt realize insecurities easily, he didnt even realize his own insecurity , he took some time to realize he was jealous of khushi with NK, remember he pushes NK to dance with khushi even though he was jealous of khushi and NK from the moment they met and started talking, and after pushing NK and khushi to dance together he felt even more miserable!! he took his time to understand his own insecurity itself, where will he understand khushis?
as for double standards, if you notice that once he became sure of khushis love for him he never had a problem with her closeness with NK, he was comfortable enough with NK he even takes advice from him about wooing her back!! after they have cleared the misunderstanding you would notice that the only times he gets angry on khushi is when she does something putting herself in danger, nothing else matters to him, even her past!!

Lavanya and ASR were close to each other. Yes, sometimes I think kind of perfect for each other. Yes, I DID love Arnav n Khushi. But in real life you wouldn't find a guy like ASR marrying KKG. If you notice, ASR had problem with her dressing sense, her thinking. He was frustrated with her. Sometimes love is not enough I think. Mutual respect was there between Arnav Khushi? Not that much. But yes, they did love each other. A flawed but beautiful love story they had. I so wanted to see what would happen if Lavanya came back? Khushi knew that ASR n Lav shared physical relationship. Its hard to digest when you are married even if your husband reminds you every single time that there was nothing like love.ASR was such a complex character. Sometimes I think he was a grey character or totally black? A totally alpha man whose heart beats for sometimes? But yes, Lav and ASR did share something, do I need to mention that part where Lavs were leaving and asked for a hug from ASR? There was something like that na? I m not quite sure. The relationship between Lavs n ASR was kind of mystery.
