Yash Gera who is currently seen as Shaurya in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has completed his five years in Mumbai.

He hails from Delhi and came to Mumbai to become an actor. He has done shows likePalampur Express, Bairi Piya, Pyar Ki Yeh Ek Kahani, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge in the past.

On being asked whom he is thankful to he says, "I am thankful to Roshan Abbas who gave me a break in Palampur Express, Ekta Kapoor who chose me for Bairi Piya and Rajan Shahi for repeating me in Yeh Rishta after Kuch Toh Log Kahege."

On being asked how does he feel he says, "Mumbai is one city which accepts people from any city and it gives you resilience to sustain. The people here are warm, accommodating and flexible. I feel nostalgic about my journey. I have a long way to go as an actor. But whatever I have done I have come with flying colours. I have learnt a lot especially the attitude of gratitude. I agree with the Jai Ho philosophy of Salman Khan. If you help one person, ask him to help other three people in return and form a chain. Small things can make a big difference. I also admire Salman Khan's career journey and success and his venturing into Being Human is also commendable
