AD might be related to Bani by Kiran's side of the family. Else he might be totally unrelated to Bani and has been brought in just randomly to further the storyline!

Another aspect could be that he has an axe to grind with either Jai or Pia and is helping out Bani to seek his own revenge!

Will get to know more in the coming few days I guess!
