Diya Aur Baati Hum, the Shashi-Sumeet Productions show on Star Plus enjoyed supremacy' on ratings front for over two years now!! But the latest TAM ratings have ended Diya Baati's two years long domination as the numero uno show on Indian television.

And the person to put an end to this supremacy is undoubtedly Ekta Kapoor!! This week, the Czarina's very popularJodha Akbar on Zee TV has become the #1 for the first time, by clocking 6.3 TVR, thus unseating Diya Aur Baati Hum which bagged a 6.0 TVR.

Diya Aur Baati Hum Producer Sumeet Mittal seems to take this fall sportingly as he stated, "It's always good to lose once to bounce back rapidly for a longer stay."

Lead girl Deepika Singh (aka Sandhya) however was not charitable and said, "First of all DABH didn't lose anything as we have increased our numbers from last week's 5.7. This is no mean task for a 9 pm slot. Also every show has a right to become No.1. But stability is important and DABH has ruled the charts for two years at a stretch. Rest we will talk after next week's numbers."

When asked to comment on Jodha Akbar, a smart Deepika said that she has not seen the show.

Her counterpart Paridhi Sharma, who is the lead of Jodha Akbar averred, "I attribute the number 1 position of Jodha Akbar to the unfolding of the long-awaited romantic track between Jodha and Akbar."😳
