Chapter 36 A
Once Raghu dropped my off as ususal, I headed into the hospital and to the front desk. "Good morning nurse," I said. "Good morning Dr. Antara," she replied handing me my duty chart for the day. "By the way, did that patient that was admitted yesterday, the accident case one, did he get discharged?" I asked. I had to know if he was gone or not. "Yes, he was just dischareged a while ago," she replied. "Ok, thank you," I said and hurried off to my first round of the day.
I was walking down the hall when I heard something behind me. I turned around to find nothing their. Weird. Must be the lack of sleep, I thought. I continued walking down the hall. That was weird. There was no one in the hall, not even the janitor. I heard something from behind me again and I turned around once again. There was still nothing there. I probably should have slept early yesterday.
I sighed and turned around and a let a small scream out at the sight in front of me. "Tume kya laaga? Main itni aasani se tum dono ko chod doonga?" he asked. "Dekho, tum yahan se jao, isse phele ki main kissi ko bulaon," I threatened. "Kiss ko bulaogi tum? Koi nahi aane wala," he said. "Dekho Satya, yahan se chale jao warna," I said. "Warna kya? Tum uss Raghu ko bulao gi?" he asked.
Suddenly there was a sound of someone walking down the hall. I turned around to see who it was. It was a nurse. I turned back to Satya, only to find that he was gone. Had he even been here? Stop thinking about him; get to work, I thought. I headed to the children's ward and started with the check ups.
It was lunch time when I got a call from Raghu. "Tu kal kaunsi colour ki sari pehen ri hain?" he asked. "Kyun?" I asked. "Bas aise hi," he replied. "Purple," I said. "Waise purple mein to tu ek dum jhackass lagti hain," he said. "Oh really?" I said. "Ab flirt karna band karo aur jaa ke kuch kaam kar lo." "Mann nahi hain, tu aaj ghar nahi re sakti thi?" he asked. "Kuch der aur, phir hum ek saath honge," I said. "I love you," he said. "I love you too," I said and cut the call. I smiled and looked down.
"Raghu se baat kar rahi thi?" I turned and saw Satya standing behind me. "Tume iss sab se kya? Aur waise bhi, maine tumse kaha tha na, mujhse door raho," I said and turned to leave. "Leave my hand," I said as soon as I felt his hand touch mine. I tried to get my hand released from his grip. "Main tume kabhie uss Raghu ki hone nahi doonga," he said. "Really? Shayad tum bhool rahe ho, main aur Raghu ab bhi ek doosre se pyaar karte hain aur humara rishta itna kamzor bhi nahi hain jitna tum samajh re ho," I said. I finally managed to get my hand out of his grip and left.
"Raghu," I said as soon as I saw him outside the hospital. I ran straight up to him and gave him a hug. "Kya hua Miss. Kaul?" Raghu asked. "Raghu, woh Satya, woh wapas aa gaya hain," I said. "Miss. Kaul, kya kaha uss ne?" he asked, pulling me away from himself. "Pata nahi ki woh kya chata hain, par woh yeh zaroor chata hain ki hum dono kabhi ek saath na ho," I said. "Miss. Kaul, tujhe pata hain ki woh kahan hain?" he asked. "Nahi, woh bas baar baar mere saamne aata hain, pata nahi kahan se," I said. "Miss. Kaul... Abhi ke liye ghar chal," he said. I nodded and got into the car.
"Aaj ka din kaisa tha?" my mom asked as I walked in. "Acha tha mom," I replied. "Acha tu ek kaam kar, upar jaa kar Payal ki madat kar de," she said. "Ji," I said and headed up the stairs.
"Aunty, main bhi kuch cheeze check karke aata hoon, kal ke liye," I said and headed up behind Antara. I grabbed her hand and took her to my room. "Raghu, tume phirse romance sooj raha hain," she said. "Hum kuch der ke liye sab kuch bhool nahi sakte, kuch der ke liye bhi tu, main aur humara romance," I said giving her a kiss on her cheek. "Haan," she replied. "Waise aaj lunch ko woh sab kya tha, sari ka colour and all?" "Bas aisi hi pooch raha tha," I said giving her another kiss. "Aaj tum kuch zaaya romantic nahi ho gaye ho, Mr. Raghuveer Singh?" she asked. "Meri hone wali biwi ho tum, itna to haq banta hain," I replied.
"Bhai, aagli baar agar romance karna hain, toh door band kar ke karna," Riya said, standing in the doorframe. I let go of Antara's hand and turned to face her. "Such a spoil sport, tu hamesha galat time par aati hain," I said. "Aap ki behen ho na, issi liye hamesha galat timing hoti hain," she said and giggled. "Waise, mujhe apni hone wali Bhabhi se kuch kaam hain. Main unhe le jao?" she asked. "Poore romance ke toh phele se hi band baja di, le ja ab," I said. Antara gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and headed out with Riya. "Ab iss Satya ka kuch na kuch toh karna hi padega," I said.
"Payal Di, this dress is just amazing!" I said as Payal Di modeled her dress for the reception. "Dekhna, kal toh jeeju ki naazrein hi nahi uthengi aap se," Piya said. I giggled along with Piya. Suddenly, my phone rang and I left the room to answer it. "Hello," I said. "Antara, kaisi ho tum?" I heard someone ask. "Ji, aap kaun?" I asked. "Tum ne meri aawaz nahi pechani? Main hoon, Satya," he said. I saw Raghu on the other side and gestured him to come over. "Tume mera number kahan se mila?" I asked. "Kya hua?" Raghu asked. "Satya..." I whispered. "Speaker pe dal," he said. "Antara, Antara, Antara, bahut sawal poochti ho tum," he said. "Tume kya chaiye Satya?" I asked. "Tum," he said and cut the call. "He's a psychopath Raghu! What are we going to do?" I asked. "Police, I'm sure ki iss case mein police humari maadat zaroor karegi," he said. "Aur haan, Antara, tu iss ke baare mein kissi ko kuch bhi nahi bata sakti." "Haan, sab itne khush hain, kissi ko kuch batana nahi chaiye," I said. "Hmm, tu jaa, main kuch karta hoon," he said. "Theek hain," I said and headed back to my room.
