Does this actually happen? It must be so annoying to watch a film with people cheering loudly everytime something vital happens. I don't get it, why do people do this??

I don't get why they do that, but I would be seriously pissed off if I couldn't even hear what was going on

Laughing is one thing, you can't help it if the film is funny. I watched Hangover and everyone was laughing so hard but there was no clapping, whistling etc lol

exactly, how do they hear the next dialogue? Especially if there are no subtitles. Once my friends and I were whispering and laughing during a film and we were thrown out the cinema for causing distruption.

LOL yeah, the same would happen here. I give the death stare to anyone talking during the movie, it just really annoys me.

Yeah they do in single screens. The worst is when movies of Rajnikanth or Chiranjeevi release.

Yes, it happens mostly in single screens.
Multiplexes, not so much.
It's funny actually.
Makes me feel connected with the rest of the viewers. 😆
You won't understand unless you experience it.
