~**SS:Heart's DESIRE..:Chapter-1.**~

Veera was shattered..

Her heart broken to pieces,and all her life seemed bleak and meaningless to her..Her mere being seemed useless and meaningless..

The heavy feeling in her heart was choking the life out of her..

She wiped away another stray tear,as she stared at her father's fields..

Her father's fields..Father..

Destiny always played weird tricks with one's life..She always knew she was Sampooran Singh and Ratan's daughter..But the bitter reality had turned out to be something else completely.

Her Beeji(Mother) was not her Beeji..Her Veerji..A sob escaped her lips,as she wiped away another line of tear..

Veera had to accept the fact that she was the illegitimate daughter of Sampooran Singh and live with it..Another sobbed escaped her lips,as she desperately tried to calm herself..

Just a few feet away from where she sat by the field,a dark shadow behind a tree watched her..

His handsome face solemn,and a mask of pain and helplessness..

"Veera.."He said softly,extending his hand out,as if trying to touch her..

Then as he watched break down into full on tears with heart wrenching sobs,he rested his head against the tree trunk..His face a mask of ravaged emotions and helpless anguish..

He clenched his hand into tight fists,not knowing how to reduce her pain,but dying inside every moment that he could not do it..Her sobs were tearing at her insides,and shredding them to splinters..

He had never felt so helpless and useless in his life..Not even when his own father kept reprimanding him for his misdeeds..

Today for the first time in his life,he yearned to be perfect..To be like those heroes and superheroes of movies who always managed to save the heroine from pain and suffering and also managed to save the day..

Baldev Singh,for the first time in his life felt he was truly a no good useless piece of junk,like his father had always told him,as long as he could remember..

Her sobs continued and so did his anguish on hearing it.

Inhaling a long steadying breath,he finally stood straight..Enough was enough,now he had to stop her from crying like this..He had given her enough time to release her pain through tears..

Ever since he had brought her back yesterday,after saving her from nearly getting crushed under that truck,her tears had not stopped..

Inhaling another long steadying breath,he stepped forward towards her..

Veera saw a tall shadow fall on the field infront of her..Someone was standing behind her Quickly she took a last steadying breath,and started wiping her tears..She did not want anyone to see her pain.

Putting on a bright smile,or to be precise,trying to give the best she could do as a smile,she turned behind to face the new arrival..

His solemn handsome face,nearly made her face crumble back to tears,and her smile wobbled as she bit at her bottom lip,trying to hold back the sob that nearly rose in her throat at his sight..

She desperately tried to keep the smile on her lips,but her eyes shone with unshed tears..Her eyelashes still wet from the recent bout of tears she had just been shedding..

The young man infront of her did not return her wobbly smile,nor did he say anything to her..

But as Veera stood rigid,trying hard to control her chaotic emotions,she watched as he slowly raised his arms,held them up and beckoned her to come to him..

With a teary sob she ran into his upheld arms,up against his chest,as his arms encircled round her,and gave her a warm tight hug,as she sobbed out into his chest against his heart..

His hands tightened around her,as her sobs tore at his heart,and the young man closed his eyes and took in a long steadying breath,caressing the top of her head lovingly..As her sobs pierced at his heart,and her tears drenched the front of his kurta.

Finally unable to hear her sobs anymore he spoke up,in a strange choked up voice,barely able to hold back his own tears..

"Veerakhdhi!Tu to meri achchi aur bahadur Veera hai na?!Tu ro kiu rahi hai?

[Veerakhdhi!Your are my strong and courageous Veera aren't you?!Why are you crying?]"

His voice seemed to instigate more tears and a tighter hug.

"Tainu pata hai na Veerakhdhi?Agar tainy rote dikhta hu to mainu bhi rona ajata hai?Tu apni Veer ko rulana chahta hai ki?

[Don't you know Veerakhdhi?When I see you crying I also start crying..Do you want to see your brother cry?]"

His words worked like magic,as with a last sob,she tried to stop weeping..

Finally calming down..

Baldev watched with a smile as she left smiling with her brother..But his eyes still shone with unshed tears as he could tell even from the distance,that her smile and laughter was forced..

Veera was not completely out of her pain yet..

He leant his back against the tree trunk,as he watched them leaving together..

RANVEERA,the unbreakable bond..He thought to himself,as another thought crossed his mind..

Veera will leave tomorrow..What will happen then?!

Baldev felt a spasm of pain in his heart at the thought..

Why did it matter to him so much?!Didn't he hate her?!

Veera was half asleep in her room,when suddenly something woke her up..

She opened her eyes and saw a dark shadow moving away from beside her bed..

THIEF!!!THERE WAS A THIEF IN HER ROOM!!!

Quickly she decided to catch the thief before he could escape..

Stealthily she got up,and stepped quietly following the thief as he walked towards her balcony..No wonder he was trying to escape through there!

The thief had just stepped one foot out through the door of the balcony when Veera jumped on his back,pulling him hard..

Taken by surprise the thief cried out an angry oath,but Veera managed to wrestle him down,and they both tumbled to the ground,while at the same time Veera opened her mouth to scream for her Veerji..But her voice got muffled as the thief suddenly rolled over her,and closed her mouth with his hand,as his face came within inches from hers..

"Oye chup kar Veera!Mainu marwana chahti hai ki?!

[Shut up Veera!Do you want to get me killed?!]"A familiar angry voice hissed out,and a completely shocked Veera stared up at the very familiar male face,which for the first time had come so close to hers..

Her heart thudding,she looked up into his angry dark eyes,her heart suddenly thudding crazily..As moonlight from the window lighted up the room,and her white curtains blew in the wind..A strange sensation suddenly running through her body for the first time, at his proximity and his hard body lying on top of hers..
