Valentine's Day special with Ridhi Dogra Vashisht and Raqesh Vashisht!
The immensely popular and very good looking Ridhi Dogra Vashisht and Raqesh Vashisht, who were last seen on Star Plus's Nach Baliye season 6, get candid with urlremoved about love, Valentine's Day and lots more, for our Valentine's Day special!
What is your concept of love?
Raqesh- Okay, so for me, there isn't really a concept of love. I mean love just happens right? Nobody decides when to fall in love. Though yes the most important aspect for me is the sense of Belonging' when you love somebody. Love is also friendship, which has an even bigger sense of belonging. When you belong with somebody, it is definitely love!
Ridhi- Love to me is the strongest emotion, feeling, thought in the world! Every other emotion, feeling or thought is a manifestation of love in a good or bad way. Be it passion for work, affection for a child, devotion to God, all stem for either love for self or love for others. Even the negatives Like anger, hate etc stem from love. Like they say, everything has a good and bad side. So it is with love. But love is truly omnipresent that everything else manifests itself of it!
What does Valentine's Day mean to you?
Raqesh- I don't believe in the concept of Valentine's Day at all! I mean according to me, you don't need a specific day to celebrate love or show your love for someone. If you love somebody, you will love that person everyday and not only on a Valentine's Day or some other occasion. Though yes, this day is one filled with love, so celebrating it with everybody you love and not only your partner, makes more sense fulfilling the purpose of this day!
Ridhi- Raqesh and I don't believe in the concept of Valentine's Day at all! It's hard to believe that you need just one day to go all out making your loved one feel special! We should celebrate a day of love everyday in small ways. And when you do, you will realize you don't need a specific day for the same. And not just your partner, but show love to all those who love you too, everyday. To be honest, for me, the day Raqesh was born is most important to me, as I always want to thank his parents for bringing him into this world, and also pampering him the most to show him how much I love him!
Where did you'll meet first, and fall in love?
Raqesh- Ridhi and I first met on the sets of the show called Seven'. And I really thought of her as a great actress, so after having conveyed that to her, we became really good friends! Post which we moved on to our next show Maryada' where we actually fell in love. All I can is I fell in love with and married my best friend!' Because to be honest, that is exactly the relation Ridhi and I share.
Ridhi- So Raqesh and I met on the sets of our show Seven'. We were done with a night shift and I was sitting there talking to my other co-actors, waiting for daylight so we could all leave, and Raqesh was just sitting there quietly listening to us, when he suddenly just said don't go' after I decided that it was time to leave. We fell in love much later on the sets of our next show Maryada'. I can proudly say that our marriage is based on the foundation of Friendship'. We can talk, fight and be honest with each other like great friends! He is my partner in crime, masti and truly my best friend! I genuinely feel that it was all God's plan to get us together.
One thing you'll love about each other?
Raqesh- I just love every thing about Ridhi! She truly completes me as a person. I just love her Soul'! She is a wonderful person. Beautiful from the inside and outside as well.
Ridhi- I love everything about Raqesh! He completes me in so many ways, that I really feel incomplete without him. He is literally the wind beneath my wings! Nobody has supported and pushed me towards my best as much as he has, and he is everything I wanted in my man. He gives me space and respect, and thinks about me over himself.
One thing you'll don't like about each other, or would like to change about each other?
Raqesh- There isn't anything I would change about Ridhi, as I truly love her the way she is! But yes, she does tend to talk a lot at times, as she always has an opinion on something or the other, and I am more of the quiet guy who doesn't say much all the time as I believe in actions more than words. So there are times where I would wish for her to be a little less talkative, I can say! (Laughs).
Ridhi- The only thing I wish I could change about him is, make him a foodie just like me! I live to eat, and he just eats to live! But I guess it's fun to be opposites. He controls me if I overeat and I make him explore new cuisines.
Anything Romantic or Special you'll have done for each other which you'll can share with us?
Raqesh- So there are a lot of memorable moments that way, but there was one time on one of my birthday's which I will never forget. I have a separate room at home where all my paintings are kept, and just a few days before my birthday, Ridhi asked a cousin to come stay over and got him to stay in that room to make sure I never get to know of where all my paintings were disappearing! Which I somehow never did get to know. And on my birthday, she threw a surprise party for me with all my close friends and family coming in, and along with that, had all my paintings showcased around the house for everybody to see, in a beautiful way! That was really touching, romantic and a very special moment for me, and will always be. And besides that, though Ridhi isn't very familiar with cooking, she always tries her hand at it to make me something good, and the effort she puts into it, is very very special for me always!
Ridhi- Ohh, I can go on about this! Raqesh is a man of few words, but he believes in actions! And does the most romantic things which completely overwhelm me. A surprise honeymoon to Maldives 2 years ago which was long overdue and very very romantic, to gifting me an entire new wardrobe for my first birthday after marriage, to giving me my first solitaires in the middle of the sea link midnight because I was busy shooting for Savitri' and didn't have time to travel for our first anniversary, to cooking me exotic dishes on my birthday, to the portrait he painted me which is my most prized possession! The list is truly endless.
A message for all your fans waiting to read this article and who are also all set to celebrate Valentine's Day?
Raqesh- Well, I would just like to wish them all a very Happy Valentine's Day. Though I all I would want to say it, you don't need a specific day to celebrate or show your love to anybody, as if you love the person that should be done everyday! But if you do celebrate Valentine's Day, then celebrate it with your family, friends, partner and everybody else who you love and is important in your life. As that is what it actually means! So just keep spreading love, positive vibrations, and just be happy!
Ridhi- Although I don't believe in Valentine's Day, but for all those who do, make it special and memorable. Don't put pressure on your partner, if it's from the heart, whatever they do would be beautiful. And perhaps promise each other that you won't wait for a Valentine's Day to show your love for one another. Make it a habit, surprise each other, and make each coming day a day of love. In the smallest of ways, but let there be love in everything you do!
urlremoved wishes this lovely couple a very Happy Valentine's Day, and lots of love and success!
