The promises they made... where a few are alive because of those promises while the others live for those promises to come true.

Waada is a long journey about broken promises, painful memories, lost lives and yet... treasured love.

Arnav Singh Raizada

He is an Assistant Commissioner of Police. He was the topper of his batch in IPS training. His parents died when he was a twelve years old. He was kicked from one relative's house to the other while growing up. He doesn't like to make friends because he has a fear of losing them.

Rakesh

He is a Captain in the Indian Army. Arnav and Rakesh studied in the same college. He tried to become friends with Arnav but Arnav's fear of losing people close to him did not help Rakesh. He still manages to get a treat from Arnav for his birthday and it became a habit for both of them. He is Arnav's first and only friend.

Anirudh Raichand

He is Khushi's guardian. He is a cardiologist in Raksha Speciality Hospital. He teaches part time in AIIMS. He is the first and only person who gave Khushi a surname, a home and a sense of belongingness.

Y. S. Mehta

He is a forty eight year old leading scientist who is successful in his every venture. He has found cures for a lot of diseases with the help of his dedicated group of fellow scientists. He is a role model for the younger generation.

Pratap

He was a very successful scientist until he went missing during the peak of his career. His colleagues always had a good word for him. Nobody knows what happened to him. He was in his late twenties when he went missing.

Yash

He is a twenty nine year old guy who befriends Khushi during their plane journey from Delhi to Mumbai.

Khushi

She is a doctor in Raksha Speciality Hospital whose main interest is cure for fatal diseases. She follows Y. S. Mehta's works. She does not remember her parents. The head of the orphanage, she stayed in, told her that someone left her outside the church one night with the name tag Khushi'. She then grew up with various foster parents and finally ended up with Anirudh whom she met while applying for medicine in AIIMS.

Preethi

She is a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines. She comes from a background where love is the worst mistake a person can ever make which requires the highest degree of punishment. Her parents give her an ultimatum and force her out of the house when she chooses love.

Anjali

She is scientist who works closely with the Indian Armed Forces. Her specialization is bio chemical weapons which they retrieve from the enemy camps once in a while.

Diya

She is an adorable four year old girl who loves her father very much. Even though her partner in crime is her mother, Diya always supports her father in front of anybody.
