Ruqaiya was a elegant woman with grace. Yes, she was Akbar's chief consort, and also very powerful yes.She might be irritating like shown in the show, but the woman was grey. One of the main reason her power stemmed in the harem was due to her roots. Even when the consolidation of throne which she is given some credit, it was not all her. A lot of source don't even give her credit. They give credit to Hamida and Salima Begum. Salima Begum is the one who made the most effort. Yes, she was Akbar's friend , confident and his wife. If she was Akbar's beloved as they claimed, why not be buried near him? Why away from him? Akbar was mostly out in war at times at a sensitive stage when their relationship needed to be build.

its sad to see how the cvs is portraying her character.. i always liked her bt now cvs is hell bent on showing her as a brainless empress who is the puppet of MA! how can the begum e khaas of akbar be portrayed like this? 😡

Ruqaiah had a special place in akbar's life and jodha got a place after she gave birth to salim his heir apparent. If someone else had given him an heir first akbar would have done the same for that queen too. Since Jodha was his first hindu queen he built her seperate palaces to practice her faith and customs and later on since she was salim's mother. Akbar truly had no time for love etc in life he was busy in explanding empire and crushing rebellion and touring his vast empire while also handling his troublesome relatives.
