Hi guys,
I promised myself I wouldn't start a new FF, especially due to the lack of time that I have. But this entire week has been spring break, and I have been home a lot so randomly started writing this story.
I will just warn you now, if you want regular updates everyday or every other day, I will probably disappoint you. I will however try at least once a week... but no promises.
I hope you guys like it as much as my other FF (if you read it) and if you didn't well welcome!
This FF is NOT connected to the real KS in most ways but I will take some things that happened in the show and add it on to the story when I feel it is appropriate.

-------------------------Khamoshiya Part 1-------------------
--Walia Mansion--
A young girl, of maybe 24, ran quickly past the field of flowers, past the stream, up the hill towards the one place she liked to visit frequently. She gathered some flowers on the way there. There it was, her second home, there stood the person she could tell everything in this world to, the person whom she never hid anything from. She opened the door and saw Anu's dadaji sitting on the big round chair. Ever since she was born, she had been neighbors with Anu's family and she considered Anu's dadaji as her own. She had been showered with love in this house by almost everyone.
Bani: Dadaji, yeh phool aap ke liye. (Dadaji, flowers for you)
Dadaji: Bani, you are 30 minutes late and you think flowers can make up for that so easily?
Bani: But Dadaji, it was your granddaughter that kept me downstairs for so long. If I had it my way, I would always be around.
Just then Dadi came out of the room.
Dadi: Oi meri Preity Zinta, you are always around as it is.
Bani: Do you want me to go?
Dadaji: No if I had it my way I would just adopt you and bring you into this house.
Bani: Well you can call me anytime and within seconds I will be here. Now, let's go. It's time for our morning walk.
Dadi: Take him carefully, otherwise if he breaks any hands or legs at this age, it will become such trouble.
Dadaji: May my enemies hands and legs break, I am the most fit man in the colony.
Dadi: Sure, sure say what you want. Do you remember what the doctor said this morning?
Bani (instantly worried): What did he say Dadi?
Dadi: That he has to take care of himself, stop eating too much sweets. He had diabetes and on top of that his asthma has come back.
Bani: Dadaji, how can you not tell me these things? Fine, Dadi it is now my responsibility to take care of him.
Dadaji: Can we just go for our walk?
Bani: Let's go.
The two of them walked around the park that was nearby the house.
Bani: Dadaji, I got my results back today. I passed and was first in my class.
Dadaji: Really? Good job! This calls for some sweets!
Bani: Dadaji, Dadi just said that no more sweets for you. But I will make the dinner tonight at my house and you have to come. And bring everyone.
Dadaji: Jai is coming back today.
Bani: Really? Wow, I haven't seen him in twenty years, when he was last 10.
Dadaji: That's because he went to boarding school and then he did some business in America. And everytime he visited over the summer, you always went to your summer camps. And you guys never got to see each other.
Bani: I remember how we played as kids together.
Dadaji: You guys always faught.
Bani: Well he was infuriating, and stubborn.
Dadaji: I doubt he has changed.
Bani: Of course he hasn't, he is your grandson after all.
After the walk around the park, Bani dropped Dadaji back to his house and went home before leaving for work. She had decided to work part time to help her mom pay for her sister's classes.
--Dixit Residence—
Bani: Mamma, I am leaving!
Kiran: Wait! Kitna bhag ti hai. Ruk to ek second ke liye. (Wait, why are you always running around? Just stop for a second)
Bani: Mamma, I am going to be so late. I can't be late the first day.
Kiran: Shhh. Aarti to lene de. My daughter is going to work in a new place for the first time. I have to do this.
Bani: Fine, hurry.
Kiran: Hamesha hurry me rehti hai. Kabhi dheere chale gi to duniya ruk nahi jayegi. (You are always running, learn to slow down the world won't end if you do.)
Bani: Har din wohi baat. If I slow down, I will fall behind. And you know I want to gather all the experiences that I can. I want to discover as much as I can, I want to live life to the fullest.
Kiran: Okay, okay. Stop there varna sahi tu late ho jayegi. Ab ja. (Okay, enough. Stop talking or else you will keep on going and become really late. Go)
Bani: Bye Mamma, I love you!
Bani grabbed her purse and took the taxi. However, as always luck wasn't on her side and the taxi stopped on the side of an isolated road. Bani looked up at the sky and stuck out her toungue playfully at her Bhagvan. "Bas aap ko bhi yehi waqt mila tha mere saath aisa joke karne ke liye? But don't worry I won't be late." (You only found this time to joke with me?)
She went and tried to catch a lift but no car stopped and she had had it. She went and stood right in the middle of the road but still the car went around her and she tried her last tactic. She lay on the middle of the road with her face on the ground. A car came by and stopped at the sight. The driver came out and then after a second, a dashing man, in the early 30s stepped out of the car. He made way to the body lying on the ground and asked the driver if the person was okay. As soon as Bani was sure the man was out of the car, she sprung open.
Bani: Hi sir. I am sorry for doing this but I need a ride. Now you may ask why should I give a ride to a stranger? Well, my name is Bani, so we are not strangers anymore.
Jai: No, my question is why should I give ride to a woman who lay on the ground pretending to be dead…
Bani: Because she is in dire need. It's her first day at work today and if she doesn't get there on time she might be fired which is the last thing she wants. So, will you help this poor girl?
Jai looked at the driver who was amused by this girl. He turned his eyes back at the woman staring at him with hopeful eyes. She wasn't drop dead gorgeous in any way. Her hair was ruffled from lying on the ground, she didn't have a perfect body but she had two things that attracted Jai to her. First she had her smile, that lit her face. And second she had the eyes that displayed innocence and at the same time control over matters.
Jai: Fine, get in the car. This might make me rethink everytime about stopping if I ever see a body in the middle of the road again.
Bani: Wait. No.
Jai: What?
Bani: I want you to stop if you ever see a person. What if there really is a person in need. I should have thought about that. I am sorry. You don't have to give me a ride but please don't make someone suffer in the future because of me.
Jai: Calm down, woman. I won't hesitate. I will stop, happy?
Bani: Very. So, are you still offering me a ride?
Jai: Yah, where to?
Bani: Shah Industries.
Jai: That is opposite of where I am going.
Bani: Just this once. Please!
Jai sighed and gave her a ride there. Just when they reached the company, Bani turned to the man in the car.
Bani: You know what my name is. What's yours?
Jai: Jai Walia.
Bani: Oh my God, it's you Jai!
Jai: Do I know you?
Bani: Fine, forget me. Let me tell Dadaji you forgot me, he will be mad at you too.
Jai: Bani Dixit. Chasmish.
Bani: I don't wear glasses anymore.
Jai: Well that's what I remember you as. Look at what you have grown up into.
Bani: And you have changed a lot yourself. Before you were a small kid with braces. Now I don't see the braces.
Jai: Well if that's the only change you can find, you really suck at observing people.
Bani: I will tell you how much you have changed later but first I have to run or else I will be fired. Oh yah, your entire family is invited for dinner at my house and you can come too. Bye.
Jai: Bye.
Bani ran up the stairs and remembered the small boy and compared him the man she had just seen. She smiled as she remembered his face, not a bad one she must say.
Jai thought about Bani for a second before his cell phone rang. He saw the name flashing on the screen and smiled.
Jai: Hi Dadaji.
Dadaji: Putar, tu kithe hai? (Son, where are you?)
Jai: I am coming. I just met Bani on the way and gave her a ride, so I will be there in 5 minutes.
Dadaji: How did you like her? She has changed a lot hasn't she?
Jai: Yah, she has become older I guess.
Dadaji: Just come.
After hanging up, Dadaji went and sat next to Dadi.
Dadaji: I think they will agree.
Dadi: Who will agree to what?
Dadaji: Jai is 30 and it's about time he gets married and settles down. It doesn't seem like he is willing to do it on his own and so we need to give the push. And anyways, I don't think we can find a better girl for him then Bani. She is just perfect and keep him on his toes.
Dadi: He won't agree so easily.
Dadaji: He will. Wait and watch.
