We got the much awaited confession from Mj's side yesterday.I felt, it could have waited few more episodes. I thought it was just me, in a critical mindset and another EBIan said the scenes lacked passion and seemed contrived. I wonder how many here feel the same way?
I watched MiRa's Diwali scenes a hundred times and their first- fall catch before their reception more times, and I re-watched yesterday's scene only once to see whether it was the same MJ? Mritunjay looked like a guy, who was walking in the park & stopped by to propose the pretty girl he saw, instead of a man who had walked through hell fire with his unwanted wife, with whom he was hopelessly in love. Tara looked that part, as someone who had walked through live coals to reach that pond. She was hurt.She was in pain.And MJ? He was angry.But not THAT angry, atleast it didn't seem that way to me. He seemed more pissed, when he said Damn and air punched.
Where was the MJ, who was awe struck while watching his wife/stranger/ friend lighting up his stable?What happened to the MJ,who left no doubt in viewers' mind about where his heart went when he caught his run away bride and spotted that beauty spot? That MJ was missing yesterday and that's the one I expected to show up at confession.
May be he acted like someone who was on the run for few days, and who was hungry and dehydrated? Seemed more disinterested to me.
And Radha's presence during the pheras totally spoiled the mood for me.What was with her tearing up in one eye all the time?Does it mean,. a part of her will forever be mourning her lost love and longing to swap places with Tara?
Why did MJ had to be prodded along each step by Radha to go and confess to Tara? Isn't he a sensitive,intuitive matured man, who knows how to handle a woman? Did not like it all.
IMO,The Cvs are playing Radha card wrongly here. I would have liked Radha's presence better, if they had shown her throwing the flowers on them or shaking some tree to make the flowers fall on them, instead of her standing,staring and bawling her eye out, wishing to be in Tara's place with all her being. I don't care how this character is gonna shape up in future , she just wasn't needed at that special MiRa moment.
Disclaimer- I like Viraf and love the MJ he gave us earlier.May be Viraf should get under the skin of the changes in the character to bring the passion and conviction back to Mrutunjay .He really needs to find some other way to express his frustration, air punches are not working for me.
Oflate, Chavi and Vishwajeet are walking away with all the glories in my pov.
